You Know that Non-Flying Bell Helicopter Model I Made Not Too Long Ago?

As I mentioned in the description, it was for a school 3D modeling project (yes for once I actually used SP for school lol) and one thing I had to do was create an animation and render it as a video. Well I shared my video on FB but didn't know how to share just the video itself on SP, so recently I made a new YT channel (3rd time now as I've created 2 other channels in the past and deleted them) to upload unlisted FSX help videos for a friend of mine who's thinking of getting into the flight sim hobby and that also brought the oppurtunity for me to upload my Blender video and share it on SP!

So here's the Blender animation I made that used the non-flying Bell helicopter model I made in SP (eventually made it flyable as the NOTAR concept and Airwolf 2.0). It's rather short but basically it's a helicopter flying to the top of an island summit.

Also, no idea why, but the video quality is very poor on the YT video. Not sure if that's because my channel is not verified (limits your YT video length & quality until you are verified), or if the video simply hasn't loaded into higher quality formats (takes awhile after a video gets uploaded for it to feature higher qualities).

The island isn't that big to begin with. It's mainly tall, but has a short/small base. Throughout the flight the helicopter mainly climbed vertical and covered some horizontal distances as it flew along the mountain side and over the top to the helipad. But for my first 3D Blender animation I ever did without any help I'd say it was pretty good.

Yep that's definitely true lol. But FSX also has tons of fantastic freeware as well.

I mainly use SP as a flight sim as all the planes are free :) @JohnnyBoythePilot

Last year I had a Computer-Design class which taught us how to use CadStd to make CAD drawings. Last semester we did 3D modelings with Blender, and now this semester we are focusing on animations with Blender.

Nice! Are you still into flight-simming?

Yea it's definitely daunting at first. That's why I originally went for SP instead of Blender to create 3D airplane designs. But now that I've learned most of the features with Blender, I'm seriously thinking of trying my hand at creating a fully-functioning airplane model for FSX.

Very good, blender is extremely complex and difficult
