The UAC/CAS Flag

Pre WW2

The United Aurora Confederation (UAC) was originally part of the North Wright Isle after claiming Independence from it's larger Island, although during this period in 1931, it was originally titled the "North Wright Aurora Isle". Shortly after independence, a company called Squirrel Industries started up producing small prop planes for consumers interested in private aircraft at (at the time) affordable prices.

WW2 1939-1945

However, the company's direction changed dramatically with the onset of WW2 in 1939, with Squirrel Industries turning their attention to fighter aircraft and large heavyweight water aircraft. The company Garudall Talisman began a competition to win a contract for an ultra heavyweight seaplane capable of carrying over 18,000 pounds of cargo. Squirrel industries participated in the competition by proposing the ES-7 as a contender. The ES-7 was technologically ahead of it's time in many aspects, which unfortunately gave rise to its downfall after lacking resources and land to continue the development ultimately caused Squirrel Industries to lose out to Jesemd Aircraft Company who ultimately went bankrupt just over a year later.

During this time, the country began having problems with overpopulation due to the small land mass of the island. Realising their lack of land and a growing population, as well as the negative effects of the issue effecting Squirrel Industries's ability to compete properly with other companies, the North Wright Aurora Isle issued a contract to develop a method of procuring more land in order to expand the country.

A mere 2 years later Squirrel Industries was able to come up with a terraforming solution in order to gain more land for the company and the expanding populous, albeit in a prototype form. A further 2 years later Squirrel Industries had perfected terraforming and had acquired a chain of islands to expand it's operations. This prompted Squirrel Industries to change it's name to match up with the group of islands acquired, which were subsequently called Aurora Systems and the United Aurora Confederation respectively.

With the newly acquired land, Aurora Systems was able to step up its game and technologies further at an increasingly rapid pace, producing the AS-WB-1Basilisk as a front-line fighter to compliment the British Supermarine Spitfire and American P-51 Mustang. It's performance was in line with and in some instances slightly exceeded both aircraft, with its twin tail configuration helping provide it with a higher survivability rate than its 2 competitors.

The Basilisk continued to serve throughout the war and into the post war era and beyond. In fact, it is still produced today in limited quantities as a test and training aircraft, with some modern variants even being utilised for aerobatics and racing.

Post War

After the WW2, Aurora Systems began pumping money into other technologies, such as AI while maintaining and upgrading existing designs. However, this was a move the company would regret in the short term as the introduction of jet engines largely made existing company aircraft obsolete, with the target market largely returning to the civilian sectors. This sudden change in demographic almost forced Aurora Systems into bankruptcy until it was saved by long time partner company, Steadfast Contracting, to produce two fighter aircraft known as the SISC-1 Warlock and SISC-2 Nightmare as heavy and light fighter jets respectively. Both aircraft were highly successful and both companies exchanged technologies during the partnership.

The Financial boost which followed the success of the SISC-1 and SISC-2 allowed for Aurora Systems to further invest into AI to produce the EM-1. Originally made as a publicity stunt to boost sales in other areas of the company, encourage investment and show off its years of research, the EM-1 ironically proved to be a successful defensive vehicle with a around 112 being sold in the US, European and East Asian markets.

During this time Aurora Systems became an international company through both private and contracted terraforming work, leading to Aurora Systems to finally change their name to CAS (Conglomerate Aurora Systems). With the company continuing to grow with the UACs influence and CAS's good track record for keeping the interests of its country in high priority, a decision was made by the citizens of the UAC to allow CAS to lead the country, with the UAC government taking a backseat.

With the continued growth came new branches of products including StratoBomber aircraft, other advanced multirole aircraft and tanks such as the TS-14 series.

However, in 1992 a rivalry occurred between CAS the conglomerate MinePower after MinePower invaded and took over 2 islands belonging to the UAC. The situation quickly escalated into another world war with MinePower ultimately taking over the whole world with the threat of superior nuclear armaments far outweighing the combined efforts of the US, Europe, Russia and China.

But, despite the dire situation, CAS was able to keep a low profile and use the most advanced AI technology to calculate an effective counter attack with minimum casualties.

With MinePower stretched thinly over continents, CAS was able to secretly build up an army of both manned and intuitive AI vehicles. After signing numerous agreements with other existing ex country leaders to wipe debts generated by the proposed counter attack, the UAC was finally equipped with around 2,000 StratoBomber and bomber aircraft, 10,000 fighter aircraft, 1,000 helicopters, around 5,000 Intuitive AI vehicles and along with numerous electronic viruses to infect enemy systems, the UAC was finally able to launch a counter attack on the 31st August 1998.

The counter attack was successful, with minimal allied casualties, with the MinePower CEO finally, famously caught and captured mid toilet break, brought to a secret location and put behind bars for life. The UAC the proceeded to seize Minepower assets, returning those (including land) to their former countries.

Present Day

With the CAS now open about it's AI technology, it's now entering products into the AI and drone markets, such as the AS-R-5 and AS-R-6 combat drones. The UAC is largely now a neutral country after earning a reliable reputation gained from reclaiming assets from MinePower, with the company still leading the way into cutting edge AI technology while simultaneously supplying the population of CAS with assets, technology, land and jobs. To this day the UAC/CAS assets combined are worth $368 trillion, while at the same time holding a title as one of the few countries with no debt after it was agreed to be wiped following the MinePower era.
