Hmm, let’s see. Right now, the entire Jundroo team is working on a game, SR2. They believe it will be released by the end of 2018, or possibly 2019. Their entire dev team is working on that, and is refraining from updating Simpleplanes. Probably once SR2 is released, they will release an update for SP. if they get very bored, they may make SP2, then it may be out by 2022.

It's actually been out for several months now, but only available to people who refuse to ask silly questions.
