I have been playing simple planes for a relatively long time, (about two years), and I have always loved VTOLs. I’ve loved how they were hardish to make, so you felt good about it when finished, and how not everyone could do it, simply because not everyone knew how. Idk it just makes you feel special lol. But with the new gyros, anybody can make a VTOL super easily and they fly even better than VTOLs made without them. This is why I am kinda against gyros on VTOLs, but idk I can change my opinion if I find a good reason to. What do y’all think?

Back in my day we didn’t have Gyros, and when we made a Vtol creation work we where happy about it

Well when I used one on my Harrier, I made it Action group activated so you can deactivate the gyro when you fly @Jetpackturtle
Actually, if you use a gyro on a VTOL, it won't handle like a plane anymore, so yeah...
Yeah, I somewhat agree with that. Simple Planes has turned more into an artistic game than an engineering game at this point, and I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but I do miss the good old days haha @Rodrigo110
But making a helicopter that flies well is not hard, the real skill comes in making it functional in its role and in the details and aesthetics

YES! I totally agree, I loved to satisfaction of saying "I MADE A VTOL!!"
Also the gyros in SP are quite unrealistic. So I try to use them as few times as possible.
