I was sitting in bleachers at a pep rally at my school and I heard a jet engine flying above me. I look up and I see 2 F-18s. I thought it was a F-16 but my teacher said it was an F-18.

I live near Love Field so there's always Southwest planes flying over.
some one of our family lives in germany and some days ther fly every 5 minutes a fighter jet

@villulennuk wow lucky. I only see fighters about once a month. About 98.8% of the times airplanes fly over my house/school they are C-130s. The other 1.2% are business jets,airliners.and fighters.

Pffff. My freind lives next to Antonov design bureu's airport. He often awakes because of Ruslans flying above him. That's maybe the loudest thing he ever heard...

I've also seen a Chinook one time while playing soccer at my school.
@WaffleCakes I know what you mean, my home is Exactly 1 mile (1.7km) away from an airport and fighter jets fly over almost every day, like just 1 hour ago 2 F16 flew over my house today

No, Sorry. I saw them going straight up, they were about a mile away, and they were very loud. I saw three of them when I was in the water at the beach. @F4f879

Every year when I go to Hawaii, I see F-22's doing some crazy maneuvers. Especially at the beach when I'm closer to the airport.

That happens all the time at my school, once it was f4s, I knew because they had engines that made black smoke
