Now I wouldn't necessarily dish out information such as this, but given the community has already made its judgements and that there are likely good friends of his that have at least some right to know what happened, I thought I'd confirm what has happened.

So as a bit of a background, Ccooper built planes and was criticised due to users thinking he was undeserving of the amount of upvotes his creations were getting. Now I thought I had made it clear in my previous post that he was not abusing any rules and that the community as a whole was in control of how many upvotes said users plane got and which planes appeared on the hottest list, etc. I also explained that the number of upvotes a plane had shouldn't be something to get upset about, as that's all they are, upvotes.

However, a number of users despite my post have obviously continued to harass and hate on Ccooper's creations. So unsurprisingly, while the developers and some moderators (not including myself) were working on a fairer system for Ccooper, Ccooper made a request to the developers to have his account deleted.

Obviously, Ccoopers disappearance has caused a bit of a rivalry of sorts in the community, whereby some users want to take time to mourn, while others want to forget about it and move on. However, none of these approaches are, in my view, right.

Simply put, we can't ignore the fact that a user was bullied into requesting their account to be deleted. That obviously shows a flaw with a small minority of users that think it's okay to take matters into their own hands and harass other users. Again, I'm willing to bet that 95% of you reading this aren't responsible for any of this, but I'd like to make a request to the community; if you see anyone being hated on or repeatedly harassed, even if you think they deserve it, report it to the moderators and we will look into the matter.
