Genuine question. For me, I'd have to say The Lord of the Rings, and as a close second, The Hobbit (both by J.R.R. Tolkien). Some other contenders would be the Green Ember series by S.D. Smith and the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling.

@TheLoadingGorilla

Sycthe by Neal shusterman
@SeaplaneINC Haven't heard of that one...
Call me young, but I love the Sythe series!
It’s dystopian/romance, so idk.
(Not a girl btw)
@TheLoadingGorilla ye
@LunarEclipseSP Fr
Anything that has pages and readable is my favourite book
@avDude4 Cool.
@TheLoadingGorilla Adam makos
@avDude4 Hmm I haven’t heard of that one. Who’s the author of that?
Spearhead is a good one
@BaconEggs lol
@TheFlightGuySP Hmm I haven’t heard of that author. Cool.
Sabotage by Neal Bascomb is a short but good read I'd consider a favorite.
@BaconEggs An F-14 manual?
NAVAIR 01-F14AAP-1 brings me joy at any time of the year
@Randomplayer @Warsforyou Cool! @CaptainNoble My brother has almost all of those books lol
Currently reading a book called F-111, it is similar to @Randomplayer SR-71 book but the F-111, though my favourite of all time is definitely “The lost ships of Robert Ballard” I remember when I was younger (like 7) just staring at one art work in the book of HMHS Britannic (https://www.maritimequest.com/liners/britannic/art/britannicmarshalla.jpg)
the only shit i read apart from university stuff is diary of a wimpy kid and air accident final reports :/
I don’t enjoy reading that much but my personal favorite book is “The Complete Book of the SR-71 Blackbird”. you can read about every single thing you would ever want to know about the blackbird (example: every single pilot that flew blackbirds, the lesser known variants like the A-12, the YF-12, every single blackbird incident)
Fun fact: the author was a wild weasel and a blackbird pilot himself
@AvocadoSeams Bruh.
@Hooha12 Sounds like you haven’t found the right book?
the only books I've read are encyclopaedias and stuff on military and other crap. I cannot stand reading normal story books, they just bore me to death
@Graingy sigh Fine.
@TheLoadingGorilla Undoubtably they are here, they are just kept quiet.
Usually, when it comes to your posts, I do. I feel very strongly about this, however.
@Graingy Could I ask you to censor that word though? I'd like to keep this family friendly.
@Graingy Well... I admit that response was very unexpected (to say the least).
I can only imagine how unsavory that community is if it's full of "degenerates" though. Not fun. Very destructive to anyone's character. Thankfully my life has been relatively sheltered (both in terms of interaction with other individuals over the internet and in-person interactions [this website is the only thing I have that equates to "social media" and I'd like to keep it that way]) so I haven't had to deal with those kind of people much (if at all).
On a side note, I’m VERY thankful that this community doesn't have many (if any) "degenerates", although I don’t quite know why. Maybe the moderation is just that good? Maybe it's because it's such a small community? Maybe this community just doesn't appeal to them? Possibly a mixture of more than one. Either way, I’m glad this community is the way it is.
