When importing my own train into SP2, I found that extremely precise spawn point settings were required to ensure that the locomotive and the 10 bogies of the 4 passenger cars behind it, totaling 40 guide wheels, fit accurately onto the inside of the track. Otherwise, the following issues could occur.

But with SP1, this problem is rare; every time it clicks into place perfectly.

In addition, the switch on the factory track may cause derailment due to its unrealistic design (the image has been slightly modified for clarity, with yellow indicating where cracks should be added; of course, the same applies to the other turnouts).

Must be terribly inefficient.
@Boeing727200F I see… so they run on tires while using the rails as guides, not actually running on the rails…
@Graingy you have to align your train onto the tracks perfectly. its a pain but once you do you can run trains for minutes before derailment. they use tiny car wheels running along the inside of the track to have the train move. it works well enough that most SP1 trains but it seems as the gauge is different in SP2 (that was most railfans worst fear in SP2) all trains need to be modified or converted to fit SP2's standard gauge
How do player trains even work?
@SupremeDorian could this be something to look into? Making player made trains less horrible to use in SP2?
On north railway, the spawn points are positioned by aligning a long cuboid (100m or more) with the tracks. It's not hard to do but it's very tedious
@WaterFlavouredSpitfires I really hope so, that would be wonderful.
I'm guessing Jundroo would probably make specific train wheels (like the regular wheels we have) to fit on the rails when SP2 eventually releases
@jamesPLANESii fr
and tbf this is a demo so who knows, maybe this'll get fully fleshed out in the future
Yeah, the ability to easily make trains for this railway would be seriously awesome
