This article came late, it's supposed to take place three days after the last one...
This war has gotten more problematic.
12:05 P.M., cloudy with a high chance of storms...
The Alliance- particularly the MDA- still reeling from the initial strike on Yeager, has been on high alert for the past three days. After all, who couldn't be when one of your top HQs is struck by enemy aircraft?
But out of all the things we could've been prepared for, this wasn't one of them. Because the SCOURGE sent a horde of over 6,200 aircraft to invade Yeager. How that turned out, one can only question how we reached such outcome...
Red Opponent C #85,432: ...man, this is gonna get boring.
Red Opponent C #83,301: Eh, get over it bud. The strike begins soon.
Red Demon A: Soon? Not "soon," my friends. The strike begins now. We wait for -Flagstaff-'s call...
-Flagstaff-: The scouting mission indicates no sign of extreme enemy units... all aircraft, commence siege. Fighters, engage anything that doesn't have a smoke trail.
Red Demon A: Well, would you look at that? That would be our cue.
Siege Begins
The attack, like any storm, came on light. The Red Demon, backed by a squadron of over 20 Red Opponents, flew over Yeager airspace, where FI-90As were sent up to intercept, only to be confused by the alignment of the jet (seeing as it was formerly on the PEA side, who is helping fight the SCOURGE).
One of the two FI-90As in question climbs up to meet the bogey.
The FI-90A keeps flying around the F3H, trying to figure out why it's here, and why it's not responding. Yes, FI-90As are colorblind, seeing as their vision is mostly radar.
After a while of the Red Demon and co. just flying around and looking intimidating, though, the real attack began. We know this because our aircraft started dropping like flies.
See, in the last mission, the SCOURGE had attempted to level ground defenses before sending in the fighters, only for their attackers and later fighters to get decimated. But they learned from their failure. This time, they sent in the fighters first to destroy all air defenses before he ground invasion could begin. And it definitely hurt much more.
A squad of A-94B Crowbars were returning from Snowstone after a training mission. All 8 were swiftly intercepted by a Red Terminator, who based on intercepted transmissions seems to be this "-Flagstaff-" entity.
-Flagstaff- turns to face an already cripped A-94B whose outer wings have been completely clipped off, only retaining the wings connecting the engines to the plane.
Another target decimated by -Flagstaff-. Seriously, these Terminators may lack much BVR capability (save for their surprisingly advanced missiles), but in close range they're absolute menaces.
Somebody had the bright idea to fly an F/CAS-12 ATTACK AIRCRAFT into a fray of powerful Red Rival B FIGHTERS... points for bravery, I guess?
Yeah, didn't end too well...
Another kill for the Red Te- wait, a tank? THEY CAN ATTACK GROUND TARGETS NOW?!
Oh no, oh no, they can destroy tanks now...
Ever noticed those angled tubes on the front of the Red Terminator's tail? Well, you should now, because they just took out an Enargite VII. In fact, the first EVER Enargite VII loss (excluding those destroyed by LunarEclipse and the ThermoNuclear Psychopath, the latter of whom definitely won't have any ties to the SCOURGE later on)
This F/A-32 Striker was destroyed by a missile shot, believed to be a long shot from a Red Opponent E.
Back to -Flagstaff- terrorizing MDA aircraft, an A-351D runs for its life as the Terminator's lethal laser comes within literal inches of it.
Oh, come on! Not the drone too! I mean, not unexpected, but that's rude! What did he even do to you?!
We take another moment to interrupt -Flagstaff- aura farming to inform you that the Red Demon A exists, and has a railgun now.
Railgun in question being fired at an LF-5 from much further range than the previous picture.
Rest in pieces, random LF-5, you did good, but the traitor F3H did better.
Ditto.
A second LF-5 narrowly dodges one of those deadly railgun shots. No fighters actually got deleted by the railgun, it's more or less intimidation in that sense. It was very effective against ground units, however.
An LF-4 attempts to head-on the new Scourge Jet, but a hit to the Aerojet's leading edge slat foreshadows the ultimate outcome of this battle...
An LF-4 ultimately loses the turnfight with the Red Demon, losing a wing in the process.
Ditto, but with the devastation visible at a greater scale.
Red Demon A: You must find your own sky, I am testing this we-
LF-4 Cougar 3: Shut bro, you are NOT him. Literally nobody can take your red-ahh Walmart-Temu lovechild fighter jets seriously, even my little brother could beat you, with low ammo!
LF-4 Cougar 4: JAKE LEAVE ME OUT OF THIS
Red Demon A: Sounds like you've got a skill issue then :v
LF-4 Cougar 3: NUH UHHH
Red Demon A: Cry about it mate
LF-4 Cougar 3: NUH UHHH!!
Red Demon A: You're literally going downward, right now, as we speak.
LF-4 Cougar 3: NUH U-
LF-4 Cougar 4: JAKE!
Red Demon A: Why your brother have such a skill issue, kid?
Red Demon continues to ragebait, and shoots down Cougar 4 whilst damaged and with one elevator.
Cougar 4: MY WING! MY WING'S OFF! COMMAND-
Red Demon A: Back in my day, our pilots didn't have skill issues.
Cougar 4: DUDE, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! IS THIS A GAME TO YOU OR SOMETHING?!
Red Demon A: A game... that's... yeah that's about it. Get rekt kid
Cougar 3 and 4 would both eject from their critically damaged Aerojets, they are fine. Cougar 3's radio cut out because Red Demon had enough of the yapping and jammed it.
Meanwhile, this Firestand attempts to fight a Red Eliminator.
He as well did not make it out...
An FT-3 goes down without a tail after being defeated by the Red Warpath.
An FT-4 catches fire after being struck by -Flagstaff-'s laser. The FT-4 would survive the encounter with the Red Terminator, but was destroyed by a group of Red Turners while attempting to land.
Speaking of Red Turners, here's one flying by an AH-5RT whose rotor was blown off. The helicopter attempts to remain airborne, but it's quite clear the fate incoming.
The Red Turners finish off the already wounded Ardent, setting it ablaze as it loses control. The canopy opens for the pilot to escape.
Some of the MDA's earliest involvements in the war involved "Advanced Fighters." Can they still keep up against the new era of Scourge Jets?
An Advanced fighter dives away from a Red Opponent F which it shot down. This is the first Red Opp. F loss so far.
Two more Red Opponent Fs are destroyed "by" the ADV.Fighter, but those two actually just crashed into each other.
More Red Opponent Fs appear and start swarming the ADV.Fighter, sending a piece of it flying.
One of only two Advanced Fighters deployed during the Yeager Defensive is shot down by a Red Opponent F's missile.
An ACI F-15 chases down two Red Rivals... I wonder what he's doing?
Alright, back to Red Terminator aura far- WAIT THERE'S TWO OF THEM?
F in the chat for the poor Vantrablade who thought he could take on two Red Terminators...
An A-351D is destroyed after being teamed on by three Red Terminators. This brings their count up to four, seeing as none of these three are believed to be -Flagstaff-. We even managed to pick up two of them being called "-Bossman-" and "-Mistress-." The third, or fourth I guess, remains an enigma.
More MDA aircraft fall by the hands of Red Rivals, almost all of said Red Rivals answering to the Terminators.
This F-36A wasn't destroyed by the Red Rivals, but it was forced to flee, which is arguably worse on some fronts.
An F/A-31 awakens to defend Yeager, an old dorito risking it all for the team...
A Red Opponent D is critically damaged by the FA-31, losing an elevator and its engine. The Ballistic II actually proved to be surprisingly agile in this battle.
More Red Opponents descend upon the FA-31, getting extremely close in hopes of overwhelming it.
Close range doesn't work for them! Another splash by the Ballistic II.
The Red Opponents couldn't take down the F/A-31, but the Red Eliminator B who was managing them could. Rest in peace, you did good, man.
The very Red Eliminator B in question turns to attack an LF-4.
The LF-4 survives the initial attack, but now it must face the horde...
Wings damaged and tail gone, but the LF-4 continues fighting until the end, damaging the Red Eliminator B.
Both the Eliminator and damaged LF-4 would survive, but the LF-4's wingman wasn't so lucky once the Red Eliminator came back to its senses...
Another LF-4 runs for its life, desperately fleeing the horde. Aerojets really are the SCOURGE's favorite food, aren't they?
A damaged F-33A-50 gets absolutely tackled by a swarm of Red Rivals, but it decides not to go down without a fight, shooting down a Red Rival B in the melee.
Oh he's running away.
With two Red Rival Bs on his tail?! Will he make it out? FIND OUT NEXT-
Some B-7B and B-8B attackers tried to bomb Bandit where the Scourge Jets were. Yeah, they weren't very successful.
One of the B-7Bs in question explodes midair after its bombs are shot down by intercepting Red Rivals.
1:22 P.M., the storm rolls in...
The clouds darken, thunder booms, and rains fall down to damper the flames of countless wrecks. But the damage has been done. Yeager is virtually intact, but there are few aircraft left to deploy...
Only now do the attackers move in, backed by air support, but with no opposition for their fighters to quell...
After all this time, was Yeager finally to fall at the hands of the SCOURGE?
Well... not just yet. Because just like before, the PEAs came back when we needed them most!
But... they didn't save the day this time.
A Red Dragon A is gunned down by the PEAs.
Fighter escort engages as soon as they notice the threat. One Red Turner shoots down an F-104, but it's mutually assured destruction here...
Ditto, but showing the moment the two destroyed aircraft collide.
Our GOAT A-20G willing to sacrifice himself for the Alliance, causing several Red Dash-Strikes to fire their missiles at HIM instead of the base. Luckily though, today is not the day for his heroic demise, for most of the missiles malfunction and destroy their own Red Dash-Strike, while the remainder get distracted by flares and crash into the side of the cliffs just outside Yeager.
Another Dash-Strikes tries using its missiles on the A-20G. It doesn't work. They never learn, do they? ...do they...?
A Red Rival tries flanking the A-20. They forgot about the turret.
Another Red Rival destroyed by the Havoc. Seriously, why does the WWII bomber do better than some of our most modern fighters?! It's almost like he has some kind of... plot armor!
Red Dragons are harder to kill than they look... unless you're this guy.
FIREBAR NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yak-28P sacrificed himself :( at least he missile'd a Red Turner in his blaze of glory.
Last time we saw the F-11F, it did absolutely nothing. This time, it shot down some Red Rivals and aura farmed.
...however, it's a bit hard to aura farm after taking a point-blank headshot from a Red Rival B while chasing another. I don't even think I need to explain if this guy survived or not...
While most of the Scourge Jets were distracted with the Yeager offensive, some PEA-Gs slipped behind enemy lines to bomb Bandit...
And the A-4E's attack was successful!
A Canberra strikes as well!
A damaged F-105 charges for Bandit with a Red Opponent C on his tail. Will he make it...?
It's a hit!
...but he immediately got shot down by a distant Red Rival.
This Skyhawk didn't make it out either, but he took a Rival down in the end.
A Canberra dogfights some Scourge Jets, desperately trying to make it out alive after the bombing run...
A difficult, narrow, but nonetheless sound escape! Of the PEA bombers who attempted or succeeded at striking Bandit, this Canberra was the only survivor.
I included the ones who attempted because no, not all of the PEA bombers even made it to Bandit at all. Exhibit A: This Buccaneer that got practically atomized by -Flagstaff- and -Mistress-.
As for Exhibit B, an A-10 that attempted to carry its bombs to Bandit, but was shot down before reaching the final stretch of water to Bandit, crashing down on the mainland with its bombs detonating across the ground.
And lastly, Exhibit C, another A-10 which was shot down so greedily by Red Turners that it didn't even reach the ground.
Dang, this Skyray is either unintimidated or unlucky, because he's taking on TWO top-shelf threats (at least of who we've seen so far) at once... and he was just born a day before the siege!
C'MON SKYRAY RUN! RUN!!!!!!!
-Bossman-: GET DOWN MR. DRAGON!
I've seen these Scourge Jets act quirky a ton, but I don't think I've ever seen a Red Terminator block a Skyray from shooting at a Red Dragon A. Even funnier given that such a loose burst probably wouldn't have even hurt it lol
The moment as -Bossman- crosses in front of the Skyray's bullets. The Terminator survives, but still a funny move all things considered.
Is that...? IT IS!! EGGER!! :D
Egger, the world's greatest distributor of Red Dragon parts.
That one went into the mountains.
Egger keeps shooting down Red Dragons, left and right! That's like the third one!
Four down!! Wait, how many to go? 45 more?! Oh no...
Well, now it's 44, I guess.
A Red Opponent is set ablaze by an F-2A.
The F-2A decides to tackle a Red Eliminator B... and wins! Narrowly, but a victory at least.
Two Scourge Jets crash into each other in the background as an F-1 runs away from the scene.
2:39 P.M., the storm continues...
The PEAs did their best. They slowed down the attack. But they took heavy losses. Overall, their kill-death ratio was 1:13. After a while, even the PEAs- and Egger- couldn't keep fighting. They had to retreat. Red Dash-Strikes and Dragons were out of the sky, but only for a minute as they regrouped, ready to finish off Yeager...
...but there was one more. One last thing they forgot.
<980>: Enough of this nonsense. The MDA cannot die yet.
The PEAs may have left, but they knew what they were doing, Before they retreated, A-20 called up a certain plane he knew... granted, A-40Ds are immensely powerful, and can only be used with extreme limits. But the situation was too dire. He had to call it in. And this, THIS did save the base.
Remember how I said that there was a Red Eliminator whose name was unknown? Yea, we're never gonna know it, bro got Havoc'd.
Can't even tell who he's shooting down here.
<980>: You see, this land is mine. As long as my wings are permitted in these skies, yours shall crumble if you do not find your own runway.
Red Opponent #41: Well, I'm out.
Red Opponent #63,212: Hey! Don't just run like that! We gotta fight this glowing kid-
-Bossman-: 63,212, did SCOURGE install your brain backwards? We can't fight a frickin' A-40D.
-Mistress-: Not yet, at least...
Red Demon A: I mean, I could. I can! I'd just rather not.
Eliminator Uno: No me importa si podemos o no. El uso del Havoc está limitado por un tratado. No perdamos tiempo ni recursos en una lucha inútil. Llegará el día en que no pueda intervenir. Entonces tomaremos el control.
-Flagstaff-: Uno is right. All fighters, fall back.
Red Dash-Strike #4541: Wait but I'm not a fighter-
-Flagstaff-: You have weapons. You can fight. You're a fighter. Fall back.
Red Dash-Strike #4541: Oh, thank the Scourge.
<980>: I must leave you for now, my friends. Worry not, though, they should know their place for now.
Red Amphibian A: Wait, is the battle over? OH, COME ON, I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO DO ANYTHING!!
Red Demon A: Skill issue
Red Amphibian A: WH- I THOUGHT YOU WERE ON OUR SIDE!!
Red Demon A: Being a team doesn't mean I can't point out your skill issue. Kid.
Red Amphibian A: ...y'know, maybe the PEAs ACTUALLY WANTED YOU to switch sides if this is how you are!
Eliminator Uno: Tal vez ellas querían que ella desertara ...
Bonus:
To give y'all an idea of how colossal this raid was, here is a list of ALL the Scourge Jet units involved.

One more TSW article before 2026!
Here's a TL;DR for the article:
Last time, we had plenty of fighters, but the base was too damaged so none could enter combat. This time, our base is just short of intact, but we've lost almost all our viable defenders. Also, Scourge Shenanigans, or smth.
Also, keep an eye on that "ex-PEA," Red Demon A. They might be important later on, just trust me guys.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Thank you so much, bro. If I didn’t know better, I’d think he has 6,000 Iron Dome systems.
In an island spanning just 13.2 km, short-range rockets have been fired at point-blank range, yet you keep emphasizing how strong his defenses are because he has lots of aircraft. My single unit's fire coverage is 500m*500m. If my regiment joins the fight, with a launch-to-impact time of two minutes, we can blast from one end of the runway to the other end of the hangars. How many aircraft can he possibly scramble in two minutes? Even if all his aircraft are elite units, with so many F-33As stacked up, you could practically ram them to take them out.
Does he have VTOL capability? If not, once I cripple his runway and blow up a bunch of hangars, could you even take it down in 24 hours?
@JSTQ Got it, Falchions but no Vantrablade/Broadsword.
Taking over Bandit may be a struggle though, mind you that they sent over 6,000 aircraft directly from Bandit to Yeager, so I imagine they have more than just that.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I'll provide you with sufficient rocket artillery for saturation bombardment coverage. If Scourge reinforcements show up, I'll handle them. With your F-33As and allied forces attacking together, can we take Bandit Airport quickly?
Keep those Scourge knock-off fighters of yours out of this. Do you think you're operating like LN-1A container system that can erect and launch two aircraft directly? With just the sortie capacity of a single airfield, you'd be losing planes faster than you could scramble them.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Fun Fact about Maywar: No Scourge Jets are prepared for desert combat except Red Eliminator and Demon (with the Eliminators really just being jack of all trades, and the F3H being stationed there for a while whilst still serving with the PEAs). Even their "best" like Warpath or Terminator will get mighty confused in that terrain lol
@JSTQ Oh man
In that case I dunno.
I do have a hefty amount of F-33A-50s, as well as Broadswords and Vantrablades which are essentially our version of Scourge Jets in the sense that they're individually weak, but can be mass produced to an extreme degree. There's also Daybreak, which I haven't used yet. That's about it though.

Maywar entrance into the war coming january 1st
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Don’t come to me with your need for more support so that the enemy won’t come and defeat you. Your problem right now is that I cannot provide you with effective support.
Can you put together a coordinated force sufficient for the task? I suggest quickly taking down the Bandit Airport.
@JSTQ We're gonna need all the support we can get, they will not pull any punches next time.
@KPLBall I would have to make it first but sure
@SILVERPANZER Oh man I forgot about that right
Still though, iirc, Enargite has never been defeated by a non-supernatural entity, seeing as ThermoNuclear Psychopath is a being not even I know the true nature and intentions of, and Lunar is literally the death goddess of SP. There was one that was heavily damaged in several nuclear strikes, but still operational. That would make Red Terminator the first natural entity to truly defeat an E.VII.
We have been in meetings for hours. Proposals ranged from transporting the LN-1A to MDA, preparing contingency measures for a full-scale missile strike, deploying the M-16A at Yeager Airport, to having all-weather reconnaissance UAVs on standby.
However, one issue remained unavoidable for everyone—how to deal with the forward base at Bandit Airport. Initially, we planned to coordinate ETSF artillery with the MDA, but the current situation has left us utterly disappointed. This is a nail that pins down all aerial operations. If the M-16A is deployed directly at Yeager Airport, its missile advantage cannot be fully utilized, and the LN-1A, without effective support, would be completely suppressed by the Red Opponent E. However, if we let the M-16A take off from Wright Island Airport for support, even launching long-range air-to-air missiles immediately would be too late—Bandit Airport and Yeager Airport are simply too close.
The ETSF’s departure being delayed by a few days has already cost us this brutal battle. We can no longer tolerate any hesitation.
If MDA cannot prepare sufficient air support units and armored forces before Christmas Eve, we would lean toward a more proactive option.
Meanwhile
??? .........so should we join?

????: Yeah, let the A-40 cook
?????: Tbf, the PEA's cooking aswell

Could I get the first 2026 TSW article?
Apparently, LunarEclipse also sent
Enargite VIITanks into space. This is the third time the legendary Tank has been destroyed, and even then it was destroyed by some plane, but Lunar and TNP are incredibly powerful.
@SuperSuperTheSylph Shhh
We can’t reveal that yet
