Night falls, but there's little sleep to be had.
6:02 P.M., partly cloudly skies.
The MDA is still recovering from a brutal strike just this morning, conducted by several Scourge Jets, particularly Red Dash-Strikes. They've already begun repairing everything in the base, but the SCOURGE
clearly had other intentions, continuing to send Red Dash-Strikes and Red Turners throughout the evening, along with a few D-variant Red Opponents. Luckily though, some brave sentinels kept the Scourge Jets at bay as the sun went down.
An F-63 moments before taking off to encounter the Scourge Jets.
The final fleeting sunrays illuminate the sky as an I-100 Centurion is in pursuit of a Red Dash-Strike.
The Dash-Strike under fire from MDA aircraft doesn't last long, taking a direct hit from the I-100's missile and exploding.
Another Dash-Strike destroyed by KPLBall-built aircraft, the same F-63E seen earlier as a matter of fact.
An LF-4 glows from the explosion of a now downed Red Turner. Interesting little fact: Normal, base LF-4s were used in this operation, whilst the previous strike on Yeager saw Maximum Takeoff Load (MTOL) Aerojets fighting. Strange.
Another Red Turner is shredded by gunfire from a Crestelian SK-3.
A few seconds before the F-63E scores the final victory of the night, downing a Red Opponent D and sending a message for any other Scourge Jets to retreat.
After a day of turmoil and a night of danger, all MDA aircraft return to base without taking a single loss. Here the LF-4 flies by the nightfall before preparing to land.
The I-100 also flies by the rising moon following the battle.
An SK-3 in front of Krakabloa Volcano as the last golden sunrays fade into a nightly shade.
Ultimately, the mission to protect Yeager was, at least this time, a success. One of the SK-3's WSO also noted that Scourge Jets seem to struggle at night fighting, which may prove to be an important detail in the future...
Summary
Of today's events:
-More Scourge Jets attempt to attack Yeager following a strike this morning
-A group of MDA aircraft work together through the evening to repel the Scourge Jets
-Come nightfall, the MDA aircraft emerge victorious- and lossless.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I have smthng planned
you guys seem to need some planes
I'm donating 70 brand new F-13Cs
they are way better then the problematic F-13Bs and might help.
also I'd recommend changing the load out and paint scheme to fit an interseptor/fighter role or something.
I have not slept properly in like two days.
@Graingy Me too man ;-;
I want sleep :(
absolute cinema
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Fascinating, simply fascinating!
@ComradeBazookaBall Yes, we will be seeing them soon more than likely! Right now they're in transit to Yeager, or Bandit depending on how aggressively the
SCOURGE
targets homebase.May my VNF-25A's be allowed to fight in the TSW?
