[TSW] And Thus it Begins

Brethren,

By now I hope we've all had time to prepare for The Scourge War, because at long last it is finally upon us.

Today, a large horde of over 100 Scourge Jets launched a strike on Wright Airport. The attack was mostly unsuccessful for the SCOURGE, and Wright suffered considerably minimal damage given the force the enemy brought to the table. Regardless though, we take this as a warning- and an invitation to strike back, once the time is right.

An A-351D cleaves through a swarm of Red Opponents.

An FT-8A and Red Eliminator A engage each other in close-quarters combat. The FT-8 proved to be faster and having better armor, but surprisingly, the Eliminator was more maneuverable, and had the advantage for virtually the entire fight.

The NMR leader Takusha engages a Red Opponent D in combat. Red Opponent Ds can be told apart from the C variant due to the D's less pronounced leading edge deviation, as well as thicker elevators, as opposed to the C's which resemble jets like the F-86 or MiG-15.

One of the MDA's longest-serving veterans, Vector, takes down a Red Opponent C.

A missile rockets towards Wright, targeting the runway. Forces on the ground managed to confuse the missile lock, preventing the missile from disabling the airstrip...

...unfortunately, they weren't so lucky the second time around. Surely, the airfield can get repaired quickly.

A Red Dash-Strike B flies over Wright after dropping bombs. While all but two of the Red Opponents involved in the strike were destroyed, no Red Eliminators or Dash-Strikes were lost.

If you haven't prepared for the fight yet, now's a good time. This is only the beginning, and the SCOURGE barely even used a fraction of their power, with millions of jets at the ready as we speak.
