Hot take...

This is a question ive been wanting to ask for a while

So ik that gatling guns weren't used on really anything in WW2, buuuut they did exist and were being developed during the time period. So I want ur take on this question:

If u made a fictional WW2 era build, should u be allowed to use minis and it still be technically period accurate?

Ik, its a hot take but I think it'd be pretty cool to make some period accurate "experimental designs" with minis

    Not exactly
The mini gun in SP is most representative of modern gatlings (such as the Avenger or Vulcan) and wouldn't be representative of gatlings from the time period
Alongside that, what we had during the war would've been too bulky for aircraft (think 7 barrels as opposed to 1 per gun, alongside the usual gun locations) and would've taken up a lot of space. Alongside this, earlier gatlings would've fired rounds below 12.7mm, so their combat effectivity would've been questionable at best
You can use still use them and a build be historical, it's just a part in the game, but try to use it as a piece rather than the actual thing (as in, dont say the Yak-1 carries a minigun, say you used a minigun for the cannons of the Yak-1 (just an example))

As long as its rifle caliber, it’ll be fine.

As I know gatling gun was developed in 19th century and I think it can be used in WW2 fictional builds
