The countries have the silliest names and the scale seems out of control (though I don't pay close attention), yet I'll see stuff made for it that seems to take itself rather seriously.

This RP needs a separate space(like a discord server), a good DM and some experienced players. Then maybe it could be a pretty good thing. Right now it's simply impossible to manage because of the very format of RP on the forums.

I apologize for the wall of text.
It will be especially difficult if you do not have at least 2-3 experienced players (2-3+ years of experience) who can “pull” most of the adequate actions and will serve as models for beginners.
In general, novice players play very poorly, make a huge number of illogical actions, but at the same time are confident that they know the game better than anyone else and the best way to play it.
Without a backbone of good players who, albeit in a rather painful way (on RP), but direct the player in the direction of learning, it will turn out (as it is called in my environment) “Lobster Farm”, in which a bunch of inexperienced players arrange only game degradation, creating a lot of illogical game, considering themselves the bearers of truth, but not developing in the game.
In fact, any reasonably well-designed RP is difficult to manage, as many nuances emerge. To do this, you need to have at least some experience as an RP player, the more the better.
Because of this, it has become a poorly controlled chaos.
In a good way, RP needs a separate space, a set of judges/moderators represented by at least one person, and at least some set of rules by which players can somehow determine the outcome of a conflict of interest.
Decentralized non-separate trust-based RP.
Literally the kind of RP that can only be conducted between very close friends, but is conducted by barely familiar people on a forum.

It is knockoff earth. Every country is a knockoff version of its real life counterpart. So some very stupid names have been created.

Knockoff earth RP. Was going to join earlier into it but I’m not dedicated to posting shit 24/7/365 so I bailed. Now I find it as something that clogs up the forums.
Ever since KE took off people are trying to join the bandwagon and see if they could recreate it. Almost every single one has died with lack of people supporting it. So now I’m in 2 dead RPs as the United States and whatever is left of the Soviet Union after an axis win.
