Does anyone else think like this? [Rant?]

28.9k NotRob119  one month ago

So somtimes when hearing or watching stuff about planes the person will say how you can identify it. And they'll name like the most random thing imaginable like "you can tell it's a mirage by the landing gear placement" or "you can tell its a F-14 by the wing tips" like nah I had no idea.
But really they typically name the complete opposite of how I recognize them.
.
Now an important thing to note is the I here as I'm not a pilot. But I can recognize silhouettes pretty well.
.
Now ig this would also have applications like identifying specific details to figure out the specific type. Like the canopy on the P-51A vs the canopy of a P-51D. And such and such. Idk just a rant I suppose

Anyways expect the lada riva today if not you'll get somthing else

Sincerely yours
-Rob

Ok but you're trying to compare how pattern recognition brain works vs non patter recognition brain... most people typically don't have pattern recognition brain.

you can identify a cirrus because they are usually on a 18 mile final for the reciprocal runway and are not on frequency
