Why are my parts sentient?

26.2k Strucker  11 days ago

Sometimes, when I try to interact with a part on my current project, said part decides it doesn’t want to. When I hover over it with my mouse it highlights like normal but when I actually click I can’t interact with it. And then after I click other parts that do work, the mf decides to work. Smh.

    As far as I remember you must do the ritual of exiting the hangar and re entering 3 times (or once) but 3 times seems more ritualy.

    @PlaneFlightX Hmm that's wack lmao
    Unfortunately I have dozens of control bases pointed in every direction for every joint in my Weka so I don't really have any options l

    @Graingy the liver is just useless, but it uses its lungs to "hydraulic"

    I dunno, try taking out their organs. That will only make them dead though

    @jamesPLANESii My SWL-120 landing gear uses several hybrid control bases (some bases are powered and springy at the same time) in a complex setup (I mean, just look at it). If I add the landing gear to the plane (plane has a cockpit with controls, among other interactable stuff), none of the controls work. However, if I add the plane to the landing gear, everything works. All I know is the PartID of the control bases must be lower than the PartID of other interactable controls.

    @TheMouse I can explain: Basically, you click on a part to select it, as expected. The whole issue I’m having is that I can’t seem to select a certain part once in a while lol.

    @jamesPLANESii Man you really get it all with Simpleplanes. I can’t make this project because I keep getting one tiny and small issue after small issue lol.

    I'm having serious problems with this on all of my current projects. I think it has something to do with control bases

    This far too relatable

    It is common knowledge that the harder you are working on a build, the more glitchy the parts are.
    Really tho, I have no idea, perhaps you can record a video? I am on mobile, so I do not really know how computer works.
