Its unfair why poor points can't get upvote to other custom challenges , always platinum user has better creations than others,
Back to poor point user, poor point user is doing best in other challenges but they give them a small upvotes.
just like my 1st friend microzack
as a silver rank user i can confirm this is true
@OrangeConnor2 I did.
@Graingy didn't you say something like this at some point?
In Most challenges, the judging isn't about upvotes, it's about how good, perfect, and detailed, your build is, so at this point, it all require skills,
.
Here's an example, look at This Challenge even though 2nd had more points still 1st won, because 1st's plane was better (My apologies to SourDoughBread i didnt really mean anything bad, i was just giving an exmaple),
.
Anyway all you need to win a Challenge is, make your build more detailed, best performance, most challenges will have rating system like this one. If your build gets a perfect rating through this system you win
What was the point of this post?
Platinum users will typically do better in challenges because of the following reasons.
Because they've most likely played the game for quite a long time, the platinum users will often make more satisfying planes to fly. Whether the performance is appealing because of realism, or just being fun to fly, they will typically gain more upvotes because of this.
Because the platinum users have been playing the game for so long, their creations will also look better in terms of profile, proportions, and detailing. Their creations, depending on the user, may even have a detailed interior, which also appeals to VR users as well as regular SP users.
They will have more followers, and also will most likely have a group of other users they may be friends with that will consistently upvote their creations.
In short, the climb to platinum is not a linear line, but it's more like a curve where progress for new users is slow, but they will eventually get more points more consistently as the user gets better over time. Additionally, the number of platinum users and/or high gold users is small when compared to the number of white, bronze, or low silver users on the site, so the higher point users will stand out more.
saying it rudely, HAH, SKILL ISSUE; but politely, like everyone said, Platinum users generally have more experience on making something, whether either how they perform, how they look, how the function, advanced FT, detailing, and many more, an advice I would give is take something and see what you can improve with it, for example, let's say one time you made a plane fly badly, what can you improve out of it? how does the wing affect it's flight characteristics? maybe the engine is pushing it unstably? maybe the Center Of Mass is not where it should be? a lot of things like that, eventually, you gain enough experience to intuitively know what is good and what isn't, any questions?
meritocracy
simply a matter of skill
Lmao
It's unfair that people who have been here longer and make better things have more points
its called a challenge for a reason, its suppose to criticize which one looks the best and which one is not the best. improvement is key
Its not as much points as it is followers. Followers make a huge difference. But this is just how things are. Thats why we have spotlights. If you see a new player with great posts, spotlight them!
But chances are, a plat user is just going to be better than a paper rank. They just normally have more experience. And if the paper rank is really that good, they will advance quickly.
Challenges are meant to find the very best plane, (or other vehicle) and it can literally be a challenge for a new player to win.
In any case, I am not entirely sure what you were trying to accomplish with this whole forum post anyway.
