Question for y'all (I'm a noob in computer)

First of all, Merry Christmas!

Some of you might be wondering why most of my builds have less than 1500 parts, lazy on details, barely use any mods, and never hops on multiplayer. Well, I think that the fundamental reason is that I only have a quite incompetent laptop (lags very badly) and I literally know nothing about computers.

It seems that the one I currently have is a Dell Inspiron with 8GB RAM and i5 core. And I am thinking about getting a new desktop PC for the new year. All I'm asking for is that it can run SimplePlanes at above 40fps with mod maps on while running a 2000+ part count build.

(And if you are familiar with Minecraft too... I want it to be able to run the game with 40 chunks of render distance and shader on. But I digress)

If you know a certain product that works in those scenarios, let me know. (provide the RAM and other stats too)

Again... I'm a noob, so I'd really appreciate your advice!

Well, your computer is still better than the school laptops we got this year(they have 4 GBs of RAM)

I recommend either SkyTech Blaze or Alienware Aurora R13 for very good gameplay

@realSavageMan 40 chunks is just a lot more to process, I think I run ~16 and I can run 3000+ part builds (it depends on different things, but if you can run 40 chunks you can run well over 5k parts)

I will say if you're willing to go through the process of building a pc (absolutely worth it imo) amd has a lot of good value parts right now

40 chunks and 2000 parts are on entirely different scales lol

Dumb fact, SP is very CPU dependant, and SP only runs on 2 cores regardless of how many cores your CPU has, so you basically want the most power-per-core CPU you can find if you want to run SP well. Unfortunately I don't have any reccomendations cause I don't really know much about computers either lol

Bestbuy usually has some decent pre-builts. Obviously pre-built isn't gonna be top of the line but I can run most high part stuff with 16gb of Ram for under $2000 Canadian

Well, my Inspiron has 4GB but I basically restart it and smash various items until it runs, but my phone can manage 2000 parts somewhat well with 6GB, so I’m in the dark here.
