It has happened to me, so i use guns, cannons and rocket pod
@HuskyDynamics01 the boom 50 bombs have these characteristics, weight and drag equal to 0.53, collisions disabled and explosion scale equal to 1. I made this to be bombs with realistic weight and that's why they go through the ground. But it's only in a few spots

What exactly do you mean by "crossing the ground"? I've completed that mission several times without any difficulties.
