Sooo… in his instagram he said that he needed a decent vid of C-46 landing gear retraction. No I do not have an instagram.
Here is the prize for asking:

    @Mlancer Ah yeah, that's a much better video.

    What I saw was something similar to that. There seems to be a bar holding the wheel, then another one attached halfway up, and when the gear comes down, the top one (linkage)goes forward and the bar itself changes angle to about 45* and then the landing gear bar will be at 90* relative to the crankshaft of the engine.
    Again, you can see it on the footage from that video,.

    @jamesPLANESii Haven't found a decent close-up "real" video, but here's one from FSX/P3D with a good gear retraction close-up at around 0:30.

    The leg does not hinge directly from the upper end. Instead, the leg has a hinge just above the middle, so the wheel's forward/backward position doesn't change much while moving.

    Uhhh… @jamesplanesii
    Next best thing is Ice pilots NWT. It shows one everything about the Dc-3 and the C-46. It tells you what can go wrong, how the gear goes up, and just insane details. It’s also free to watch on Amazon video, and is just a great show in general.
    Side note— I’m a complete idiot for noticing everything wrong. The intake, the wings that low, the complete fact of wrong profile.
    You wanna go for this video:
