FDR - Stalin, we may not have had a close connection at all, but my nation is gone. I have failed my leadership. We have sent a squadron to your air bases in Siberia, information will be provided then. I have to capitulate. If there's any good decision I will make during this war, kill the Fascists. But I ask you this: Liberate me and my people. We can not stand to have them rule the world through separation and war. We are a people, and the people deserve a choice. Make yours the right one.

Alternate WW2 timeline:

1933: Hitler assumes dictatorial command of Germany. He begins rearming the country illegally

1939: Hitler Manages to disarm the Maginot line, and successfully penetrates into France. Italy joins Germany, and flanks from the south. France fully collapses, and Germany establishes Vichy France in early 1940. The rebels are quickly executed

1940: After much debate, a coup successfully takes over the UK, allowing the Silvershirts to take command of the new British Empire. The British invade Irelands' weak forces, and takes over the country to unify it. Germany and Britain work in concert to form an Atlantic wall, and secure the Gibraltar. Germany sends diplomats to China, and sucessfully aligns China with the Axis. Japan, no longer able to invade the Soviet Union, directs its forces to attacking China. The Marco Polo bridge is heavily fortified, and many die. Germany also annexes Austria. In late 1940, Japan reforms its government to be Democratic

1941: After the Atlantic wall is formed, Germany convinces (forces) Czechoslovakia to secede Studenland, and then puppets Bohemia. Slovakia is then given to Romania. Germany also convinces (also forces) Poland to give up Danzig, which triggers Poland and Romania to create an alliance, the Cordon Sanitaire, to stop the Nazis from spreading further into the Balkans. Yugoslavia also agrees to join

1942: The British dominions separate from Britain, and Britain decides to take back Canada. Canada is taken back quickly. Germany and Britain formally unify under the Axis. The Communist International (Comintern) collapses, which causes the USSR to join the Cordon Sanitaire. After the United States notices Fascist movements to the north, the Legislature unanimously agrees to join the Cordon Sanitaire, and as such, FDR agrees as well, pursuing intervention. Mexico also joins under an agreement for protection

1943: Germany and Britain arm an attack on the US through Canada. In China, Japan begins being pushed back to Korea and Manchuko. The Chinese Cliques unify into one Fascist China. Communist China and Japan join the Cordon Sanitaire. Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg come to an agreement and unify into the BeNeLux Federation. Australia and New Zealand formalize a pact to remain neutral.

1944: The BeNeLux Federation is invaded by Germany and Vichy France. They hold out for most of the year. Brussels is taken in May, and Holland in July. The union collapses and is annexed by Germany. Denmark is taken as a strategic point in November, with little resistance. Remaining forces from Free France and Denmark unify in Iceland and Greenland. The US, under an even larger depression, finds it needs to reinforce its positions, or the States could collapse. The USSR receives a package from the US, which contains information on the production of nuclear bombs, as well as designs for extremely long range bombers, and jet engines. Moscow is bombed by the Germans with oddly fast planes. The USSR shoots down one, and reverse engineers the engines. Using the uranium mines in Siberia, it begins producing nuclear weapons. Scientists arrive from the US, hinting they know they are about to collapse. Albert Einstein is one of the major scientists from this evacuation

1945: In January, German and British forces invade the US. Montana and Washington state quickly fall. The West and Mid US fall in mid July. All that is left are the original colonies. Mexico signs a treaty and drops out of he war. tens of millions die in the US from the bloodshed. The Hindenburg, still flying, crashes in late 1945 after being shot down. A strange virus begins spreading in Europe. The Spanish Civil war is still going on, as Democratic forces have taken care of the anarchists and almost destroyed the resistance in Barcelona. The Spanish Republic successfully wins, and remains neutral

1946: Germany takes New England, and FDR is put into a camp. The US goes silent. Russia invades Alaska, and stirs resistance with the remaining American forces. China is pushed back to Beiping. The Marco Polo bridge is crossed. The Baltic states join the Cordon Sanitaire, as well as Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Africa is decolonized. Russia, now left with no choice, completes its first intercontinental nuclear bomber, the Yer-8, using help from Convair scientists from the US who were working on another project, the B-36. In late 1946, the second is made, quickly followed by the third. They are all armed with 2 bombs each. One flies to Europe, another China. And the final one goes to the Americas. In an astounding change of tides, Hong Kong is the first target bombed, quickly followed by Shanghai, Berlin, and Hamburg. Soviet Intelligence says the Germans are very far from making their own. The Soviets are pleased with this new weapon. A massive front is made against the Germans in December along the Western Front. The virus spreads through Germany, weakening the forces on the frontlines. It currently has claimed half a million lives due to poor healthcare

1947: Chuck Yeager flies the Soviet's first supersonic aircraft. The Soviets ask MiG to produce a long range aircraft to follow the bombers and shoot down other planes using the new jet engines. Americans show fierce resistance in New England, causing them to regain independence. German forces are severely hurt by the virus, and give little resistance. The South Unifies under the Silver Legion of America. A massive civil war takes place. FDR is freed and put back into power in May. Soviet Forces break back to Gdynia, and Poland is given access to water once again. The Cordon Sanitaire quickly notices the virus, and begins quarantining those infected. The fighting halts, as the Germans continue to get sick and die off. Hitler notices the change in the war, seeing the Prussian territories fall to the "impurities," and commits suicide. Germany is quickly taken back. British forces attempt to invade from the ocean. Denmark, now freed, sends its navy into the English channel and destroys the vessels. Vichy France attempts pushing back, but the BeNeLux federation manages to take back Calais, and push straight to Paris. The war's tide has changed. Russia discovers the radioactive effects of uranium, and perfects the nuclear bomb. China is heavily nuked, and they eventually capitulate. Free France forms as they attempt to take back their home. Britain notices it now is on the losing side. India and Pakistan go to war. December approaches, and the coldest winter occurs. The Alps to Italy are impossible to go past. The USSR heavily nukes Italy, they collapse within hours in late December. Bohemia is given back Studenland, and is released from Germany

1948: Russia produces another bomber that is capable of flying supersonic. Air to Air missiles are put into service. Romania sends a Yer-8 to Dover, opening a spot for a naval invasion. Russia prepares new "power armor" that defends against radiation and bullets and trains thousands to use it effectively to take back Britain. Romania creates a stronghold in Dover. Ireland becomes independent again, and lines its troops on the North Ireland border. Ireland takes it back. Unexpectedly, the British Empire launches a nuke at Moscow and Brussels with German rockets and computer systems. These nukes are more powerful than any made before. Moscow quickly grabs all of its new supersonic bombers, and heavily bombs London, Scotland, and Southwest England. Romanian forces enter London, the first time since the Normans. Soviet troops are sent to the Americas, and Canada and the west are liberated. The Silver Legion quickly collapses. Britain is the only enemy left now. The Soviet Union sends 5 million men to Dover, and they push all the way to Scotland within one week. After meeting in Switzerland, they sign a treaty, and the liberation and decolonization begins. The US is given back its territories, and the Soviet Union is thanked. Germany is made Democratic, and Poland is given the Prussian territories, and Danzig (which was renamed Gdansk to remove the German ethnic past from it). The Soviet Union agrees to become Democratic, and a global pact is created to stop any future rise of dicatorship, known as the United Nations. However, China becomes Communist and the DPRK separates off of Korea. This leads to rising tensions, and possibly another war...

So I made this alternate history as a new project for me. I've gotten super into Hearts of Iron, and I now wondered "what if Germany had invaded France first instead?" So this made a Russian-led war occur instead of an American one. I know its probably super disorganized, but hey, it was fun to write lol

Now, what does all of this mean? Well, I'm going to make a ton of new aircraft designs based on this alternate history. The first one is going to be the Yer-8, which is basically a larger Yer-2 with Hydroplane capabilities, as it was intended to fly along the American coast and bomb it from Russia, as well as in the Pacific.

Anywho, beyond making these projects, I also have a few builds I'm working on. Mostly for challenges

A B-36 that is like 90% done

And I am now working on a P2V Neptune currently for Walvis' challenge, and it is like 0.1% done. I also have a tank that I am going to be building for Kangy's challenge

So, yeah. Hope to get those out soon if I get some inspiration!
