@WolfSpark Go into your SP folder and go to your aircraft designs, then open the XML file for your plane. Then, near the bottom of thefile, there re the list of paint colours for that aircraft. By default there's actually 2 or 3 extra colours there that you can choose from at the bottom. All you need to do is change the hex code to the colour you want, then you save the file, then you go into the game, and you must load your plane from the Ave menu, then if you want to paint the part the colour that you made, go onto overload and change the material to that number, like 15 or something

I had to make 10 more colours in XML after I ran out withy my Weka. And I would have made more if it wasn't so inconvenient to make them and use them

Just deal with editing XML files.
That's it!

I mean from what I've heard, the only limitation with the colours is the UI, the addition of more is probably not too mammoth of a task, but would be great to have.

Probably not gonna happen, unless someone says something controversial otherwise. Unfortunate, but reality is often disappointing.

Colour slot crisis, 2021-????

Yes please. Not enough spaces for coloring other things and can't reuse the same color else they'll look goofy or blend too much in the background despite the other existing colors on the cockpit or whichever part that should look different.
