Cannon dscovery.

So, People. An important (or not) discovery. Even the "Basic" projectile does area damage. It does not only damage the ones it touches.

Here I shot a "Basic" projectile at my tank's ERA. These tiles are not connected in any way, they are only connected to the upper frontal part by a single point. The projectile hit the bottom row, but several of the tiles broke. But the projectile only hit one and did damage.

Here another shot was fired. It hit almost the top row. I broke almost all of the ERA tiles and, WARNING, was able to damage the gun. This is not shown, but I checked, the gun actually got less health.

One conclusion can be drawn here: the "Basic" projectiles also damage the area, but with a much smaller radius and the damage decreases quickly (very quickly) with distance. Glass breaks from any damage at all, and here you can see that at some radius from the explosion it broke. If it were the damage from the glass explosion, the whole slab would break, because there is a small distance.

It seems to me that this could be an important correction in some constructions. Now we will have to take that into account.

Yeah, can confirm. Although I actually found this out by making a cannon with a stupidly large caliber fire a normal non-explosive round, and eventually the explosion was big enough that it actually looked like an explosive round.

And I thought basic was the cannon to never use.

If you XML the projectile’s size, you can slingshot out of the universe. :)
