Winners of the Mega Dogfight Tournament!

4,198 SPMTB  3.1 years ago

So, after almost 2 hours of streaming, the winners have finally arrived!

Keep in mind that this tournament wasn't meant to be fair, I gave everyone the same rules, and everyone did different things with said rules, some better than others.

anyways, lets get onto what places everyone got!

THE LAST PLACERS

Maximum1's H999

TrojanAircraftSystem's F-25 havana

FranticfFan01's Fun Jet

Cyber_Pilot16's Talon TA-43

hsoqjx's SF-30AI

IceCraft's A24

And AuroraPolaris's F-14 EX Hybrid Tomcat

Unfortunately, none of these competitors could take the heat of this tournament. Let move on to 3rd placers.

THE 3RD PLACERS

AAAagent7's MIG 22

RusSimPlan's F/M-15P

Papakernal's Tacion TL-30p

CatHoldingTheSun's Blue Streak

AntiAirNuri's MP1F Edelweiss

LieutenantSOT's F-13

Dhanush12345559's F9 Monster

And PareHare's Tom Brady (Also getting 2nd)

These planes did well at first, but soon were bested by much better aircraft.

THE 2ND PLACERS

Olive's AIF-3

AtlasMilitaryIndustries's AMA TF-33M1A Vanguard

Souplane's Voltaic

Acepilot118's F-39X Broken Python

Tristanmusic's Tournament Dogfighter

Hiiamhere's Shotgun Garbage Fly

And 1SGTKu's AK-46

These competitors did quite well, and some got extremely close to winning, but unfortunately they were bested by our top competitors.

FINAL COMPETITORS

In 8th place, we have Xiaoexe14's S-381P!

In 7th place, we have Winterro's Nightfury Inferno!

In 6th Place, we have TMach5's F-16!

In 5th Place, we have Esjope's Potato!

In 4th Place, we have AZNDUDE67's F-23!

For our bronze holder, we have ShrioNeko's AV Saltator!

Our runner up is asg's FI-1000!

And Finally, the winner of the Mega Dogfight Tournament, 11qazxc's Fe_mk.2!

Congrats to everyone! And thank you to all who have supported this tournament throughout! I hope to see you in future challenges!

    Sorry If you all are not happy with the results, I am planning tournaments for the future (I have a helicopter one coming that really seems like fun), this is my first time and i learned how people can get around rules. So future tournaments will have more sound rules, such as limits on XML numbers, clearer descriptions, more extreme testing, etc.
    Most of these planes I barely even tested, just took em on a test flight and that's really it, so how powerful some aircraft were surprised me a little too.

    Like I said earlier, this tournament had very basic rules, so i gave a pretty hands off approach to what you can and cannot do, I thought if one person can use superweapons, then everyone can, making it fair, what I didn't think of was that some were going for looks and realism than deadliness, and I apologize.

    I look forward to seeing you in future tournaments, and I hope you all had some fun!

    Quick thing for everyone, rewards will be temporarily postponed (no exact date), I'm sick and too tired to give rewards right now.
    Some of you might have gotten fractions of your rewards, those will resume once I feel better.

    @Kangy @SPMTB OK.
    In any case human is weakest element of plane, and we need to replace it, because in videogame with such possibilities 9G is just nothing.

    @11qazxc yeah, sorry, but 1,000 G's will kill you.
    You could probably fix that by replacing every bone in your body with titanium and use carbon fiber braces to hold joints in place, not to mention having to essentially glue your skin together to make folds large enough to clip to your bones.

    1,000Gs would NOT be fun

    @SPMTB Bruh
    G's have always been measured in the pull of earth's gravity, read the wikipedia page
    I'm only getting annoyed because the guy is telling me that 1000Gs doesn't kill a human.
    He's not only wrong, he's trying to defend himself too lol

    @Kangy You are partially correct, G forces are a measure of force compared to gravity, ie, earths gravity is 1G, though 1,000 Gs is not 1,000 times earths gravity, like decibels, it grows exponentially, though much slower than decibels (I may be wrong on that though).

    1,000 G's would pulverize you, every bone, muscle, and tissue in your body would pretty much be liquified (a bit gross), 12-16 G's is enough to knock out fighter pilots, and 20 can be lethal. Not sure why there's an argument about this, but yeah, 1,000 Gs wouldn't be fun.

    I understand your concept
    but a plane isn't going to move at 2mm/s, it's unfeasable
    wiki page on G-forces, where G is the unit of g-forces
    Don't tell me it isn't proof, it's facts

    @11qazxc youre logic is hilariously dumb
    1000G is 1000 times the earth's gravitational force
    that'd crush you

    @Kangy
    Maybe, the point is not only g-force, but also time?
    1000G acceleration multiplied by 250ns time gives velocity of 2 with half millimeters per second, you can't even feel that, and it will be absorbed by meat.
    Technically, human may not die because of acceleration.

    1000Gs would crush a human, the only way they wouldn’t die in an 1000G turn is if they weren’t supported by another object. (Newton’s law) @11qazxc

    @SPMTB you're absolutely fine! I have nothing against you for the rules or anything, I guess I'm just salty at what I lost to, but it WAS a fair game. I just wish that it wasn't so overpowered

    @11qazxc just fyi, I'm not arguing with you, I'm just trying to explain my point.
    And yeah, but then you will have broken bones, and likely can't hold a stick. No human has felt more than 46 g forces. And even then, he had severe damage (that healed). He also is the person who invented, and forced companies to use, the seatbelt. And most electronics fail once a certain force is met, which is why F-22s have computerized systems to stop it from going over 9 Gs, or there will be inrepairable damage. And certainly not lol, but nonetheless, that's why I'm just saying that it was... erm... a little TOO open for interpretation. It's like asking a southerner what the 2nd amendment means, and then asking an Aussie what American gun rights are. Completely different results. People will do as they please. But nonetheless, it's just weird that there are really good, realistically functioning aircraft that lost to crafts that literally destroy a plane before they fall put of the sky.

    @asg and yeah, lol. Agreed

    I mean it did help him win at least only because the rules weren’t strict enough @LieutenantSOT

    @LieutenantSOT
    1. Rules didn't said that it must be manned, but human can withstand 1000+G(in some directions, for some parts of second).
    2. Can real aircraft be a dragon with miniguns in wing edges? There's a few realistic aircrafts in this challenge, and almost all of them in upper part of post.
    3. My craft doesn't have missiles.
    4. Fair and square and realistic means we must have 4vs4 battle instead of 1vs1, long-range(50+km) radars and missiles and realistic physics where hidden panel in tube can't produce lift, and physics are the same for wings, panels, blocks, and fuselages.
    .
    Also, user TMach doesn't exist. Instead you can try to call TMach5.

    @11qazxc sorry, but what human can withstand 200 g-forces?
    Real aircraft can't even survive that. Yes, it's a dogfight challenge, but you really shouldn't make a flying penis in two seconds that has missiles that immediately decimate a plane in 0.01 seconds. I find it, ultimately, to make it not as fun. Yes, dogfights don't last more than a few seconds to a few minutes on average, but it is far better if it ends quick fair and square and realistic

    I'm really glad @TMach5 managed to get to the first place spots. It shows that you don't need to heavily modify your plane, and you can still focus on the looks for functionality
