ye no, instead of asking the devs for a game, go onto the steam website, and if you know how websites work, they always have a lock next to them. you can explain that the lock shows that the transaction is fully safe to do, instead of asking the devs for a free copy. there are many articles talking about steam being safe, just find a few, or just ask for it on your birthday-
