Well I can throw my hopes out the window now.

Hello SimplePlanes community.

So first off, yes this may come off as just another rant, but I want to say it so SUE ME.
Anyways...

If you have ever taken the time out of your life to look at my profile and the part that says three things about me, you would know I have Autism, Aspergers Syndrome to be specific.
And you would also know I'm training to get my Private Pilot's licence.

I have over 20 hours as of recently at the controls and I'm up to Solo standards. The main problem however, with the problem not being my Medical or Air Law exam, is my Autism.
Before I can go Solo for the first time, I have to get a Psych Test (I got mine at Duxford, England) to test if my Autism would be a problem, the main thing being how I would react in an emergency.

So that test was a couple of weeks ago and my Parents just a couple of days ago got the email back with the results.
There's a lot of "boring" stuff on there, but at the conclusion section at the bottom, the 'doctor' says there were a couple of things that didn't meet up to what I needed to pass the test.

TLDR, it means I can't fly in a plane by myself, which in turn means I can't fly Solo, which then probably means I can't get my Private Pilot's Licence (Not sure yet).
If I can't get my Private Pilot's Licence, it then means that my hopes of one day owning my own GA Aircraft are now dashed.

But at least I can still fly if there is someone else with me (Like an Instructor or another Pilot), so it's not all bad.

I'll send in any updates if I get any.

Stay calm and Fly high.

I hope things turn out differently for me in the US, as I also have Asperger's.

It's a valid test and it was done by a psychological examiner who has a BIG name in Aviation.

Is this a case of discrimination or a valid test? I'd be extremely annoyed if my aspergers prevented me from getting a flying license- or doing anything for that matter.

Yeah, no. ATC is really stressful, not to mention you need a lot of coffee XD
