I'd be excited to come back and start creating aircraft again, but not if the devs aren't going to show us a big update that will draw in a massive amount of new players... I was tired of the game map being quite empty besides the same old islands

if simpleplanes 2 gets announced with strong mobile support, a decent new map and some more interesting ai components and better dogfighting Ai I'll probably restart and start building again!
i feel old, considering that this post is 6 months old and that i was around on this site when you posted those aircraft 2 years before this post
here's hoping they do add more things to the base game's map, because it IS kind of empty

Let me refresh you on what’s happened. The king of SP was replaced by a flower, people are pissed off at a crappy plane with 225 upvotes, the devs won’t update the game, and mods on iOS don’t exist yet.

i suppose SR2 is kinda SP2, although it isnt. do they have enough stuff to add to call it a whole new game because realistically the next steps are map update, sound update, neutralising angry "injustice fueled" mobile users, maybe console? idk tbh its gonna be difficult from here to make a new game that isn't a more focussed version of SP. e.g. simplecars, welp we got cars on sp it would just be more specific i guess.

I have no idea about that but I know for sure that I have waited for 2 years untill you come back. Like, your planes gave me so much joy, it was really sad when I didn't see a new one uploaded for a month, two months, six months, and after a year I just downloaded every single one and gave up checking your profile.
But I get what you mean. The game gets kinda boring after seeing the same Krakabloa vulcano for the 1000th time, destroying the ice base in a new way or lagging off when you try to load the yamato or some other big creation.
But hey, they added heli parts, revamped the USS Beast with a catapult and arresting wires, and gave us the wonderful cannon along with Funky Trees. It's something new and more exciting.
I wouldn’t say that they won’t do a sp2, sr2 is mainly for rockets, they probably won’t also make it into simple planes 2 @asteroidbook345
they added Funky Trees, some system that allows you to do things like make engines stronger at certain altitudes, make automatic bombsights, cockpit instruments, and many more that you could use to make even more realistic planes
