Surprise!

This probably isn’t the forum post you were expecting from me today, was it?

Let me right to the point:

I am a very busy individual. I have a job, I have family, and I have other games that I like to play.

I love writing the SimplePlanes Weekly. I take great pride in the fact that it’s the one and only SimplePlanes News source, and that people genuinely enjoy reading it.

That being said, posting it on Mondays is becoming impossible for me.

The root cause of this is the time that it takes to write reviews for 3+ planes. Highlighting the news, getting interviews and the like is no problem. But I really can’t review that many planes and have them be honest reviews. I also can’t seem to win when it comes to this. People either think I’m insincere or that I’m too harsh.

With that said, there will be no more reviewing the top rated airplanes each week.

I will revert to the old format where I link to 3 or so planes that were popular that week.

I know this may be disappointing to some, but I ask you to think about how much you really got out of reading my opinions on other’s peoples work, especially considering I’m such a lackluster builder.

This change should allow me to continue publishing the SPW. This week’s edition will be out tomorrow.

On a more positive note, Jim1the1Squid will be helping me with writing more special articles for the Weekly. If anyone else would like to help, even just for one time, then please contact me.

These special articles from Jim will be about various different bits of SimplePlanes website history. They may even include build reviews depending on what he wants to do.

Thank you all for your support and understanding. I know that the Weekly won’t last forever, but as long as I enjoy writing as much as you enjoy reading, then we’ll be all set.
