the engine block of the top one is a bit, round to say the least, i'd probably do a 20 degree ramp at the start of the engine block and form the back of the turret to that, then make the back part of the block a 90 degree drop off, maybe a 45 degree transition plate there. Otherwise these seem to have tiny engines.
