  • Rc boat (fixed) 7.0 years ago

Works much better. I don't think you need to fix anything else. If you wanted to experiment with it you could replace the other underwater skids with rudders to see what ti does to your turning, but that's just playing around.

  • Rc boat 7.0 years ago

Hi, the problem is with your rudder, or to be more accurate, your lack on one. You used bits of fuselage and they won't work as well as wings. What you need to do is replace your rudder with a vertical stabilizer (upside down) and it will stay straight.

    Nice plane

  • Sea Snake 7.0 years ago

    Unusual, but effective.

  • so2000 7.0 years ago

    It handles nicely

  • BBP flyjier 7.0 years ago

Fun, and a good platform to build from.

    Atragon?

  • light attack vtol 7.0 years ago

It's a fun plane to fly. I think I'll try to do something with the landing gear. I've see the same thing happen on a few of my designs. I think it's the mirroring error bug.

  • light attack vtol 7.0 years ago

I like this. There seems to be a bug with the left landing gear, it seems to wobble in flight.
BTW, for an easier take off: 1) VTOL to +50%Z; 2) Full Throttle; 3) When the plane lifts off (around 100 mph) raise your landing gear; 4) VTOL 100%Z. It's almost like taking off a normal plane.

  • Spectre II 7.0 years ago

@Razor32798. It's a joke. This plane is based upon SledDriver's Spectre II (check the autocredit) and SleldDriver is noted for not putting landing gear on his planes.

  • Sea Plane kipper 4 mod 7.0 years ago

It's a bit odd, but the thing can actually take off and fly using less than 1% power.

  • Ke-36 prototype 7.0 years ago

It's odd, but I like it.

  • Baby Moth 7.0 years ago

It's got a nice shape. A bit nose heavy and/or underpowered but still a nice plane.

  • Spectre II 7.0 years ago

It can't be based on a SledDiver design, it's got landing gear! It flies smooth, the nose stays wherer you point it, and it is fast (1080mph at sea level) without seeming to be fast. It's gut can sink the Beast with one or two shots, and it's missiles pack more firepower than most small countries. What's not to like?

  • SR 81 DRAGON 7.0 years ago

A brick, but a very very fast brick.

  • TS-625 Edgie 7.0 years ago

    It is fun.

  • Personal VTOL "Hawk" 7.0 years ago

Yes, I do, but I think I like it mostly as a novel way to handle VTOL. I think with some fine tuning it could become a great VTOL jet. I might try putting some carnards to help with the trim. It's certainly a design worth pursing.

  • Personal VTOL "Hawk" 7.0 years ago

    It's an interesting approach.

  • transformercopter 7.0 years ago

  • Delta Seaplane 7.0 years ago

Yeah, and a lot of that is due to the wing design, I think. Delta wings present some challenges.

  • Delta Seaplane 7.0 years ago

Nice pusher prop. Handles well. Has possiblities.

  • B-538 Botan 7.0 years ago

A bit sluggish, but still fun.

  • Fighter 7.0 years ago

Whatever you name it, it flies nice and is easy to land.

  • How do you install Simple Planes on a Android Tablet? 7.0 years ago

Game installed from Play Store. Thanks. SP runs so slow on my cheap tablet (no surprise). I'll have to see how it runs on my other tablet with a better CPU. Thanks again.

D'oh. Thanks. I knew it was something simple.

  • Space: 1999 - War Eagle 7.0 years ago

I'll have to try that. I did manage to land on the Beast first try. I even got to land on the helipad of one of the destroyers.I wouldn't let me missile the beast from the deck, though. I wonder how the 3D export would come out. It would look nice on my desk. I love this !

  • Space: 1999 - War Eagle 7.0 years ago

Not a complaint about the Eagle, just my piloting. I'm having trouble matching speed with ships when coming in for a landing,

  • Space: 1999 - War Eagle 7.0 years ago

Yeah. but that makes sense. Wings won't provide any lift in space or on the moon. I've certainly flown a lot of airplanes in SP that handle much worse at low speeds (most of them mine). Congrats! I just wish there was a way to hide a retro rocket or two on the thing for braking.

  • "Gemini Condor" Semedian Swanson LAC1HC 7.0 years ago

It reminds me of an airship. I could see lounges and a restaurant in the forward sections.

  • Space: 1999 - War Eagle 7.0 years ago

Correction. It handles fantastic! You don't really need the VTOL to lift off or fly anymore. And the suspension on the landing gear seems stronger.

  • Space: 1999 - War Eagle 7.0 years ago

    Yea! It does handle better.

  • IFX Next Gen 7.0 years ago

Those engines are quite a surprise. This plane climbs unlike anything else I've flown in Simple Planes.

  • "Gemini Condor" Semedian Swanson LAC1HC 7.0 years ago

Nice. I think this is a plane that I'd rather be a passenger in than fly. I love those observation deck style forward passenger sections.

  • Scythe 7.0 years ago

@Spectre2520 Probably like the inside of a fuel tank, jet engine, camera or cockpit. depending on where you looked. It wouldn't have room for much else.

  • Folding Cuboid 7.0 years ago

    Interesting and entertaining.

  • Scythe 7.0 years ago

@SledDriver It's what went through my head (after the "Whoa") the first time I took off in your Blackbird. I wonder if there is a way to put one of your dual hidden engine setups on a detacher? And then add it to that Beast replica?

    +1
  • Scythe 7.0 years ago

Okay, it's not a SR-71, just a relative, but it still flies like an SR-71! I just wish they's install that hidden engine thing of your on the carriers -we need steam catapults.

  • SPACE: 1999 - Eagle Transporter 7.0 years ago

It's loads on fun detaching the cargo module in the air. Just kill your speed to zero, and use Trim to keep in the air, then detach. Fun to watch it fall (it drops like a balloon). You'll have to make a bomb module. Kill the Beat at 40,000 fathoms.

  • SPACE: 1999 - Eagle Transporter 7.0 years ago

I made the Beast on the first try! Too some minor damage, but I did it. Landing on the escorts-now that's hard. BTW, I can't figure out what the VTOL control does.

  • SPACE: 1999 - Eagle Transporter 7.0 years ago

    The Eagle has landed!

I spent the last two days working on some boats, none of which handle as well as your jetski. Oh, and I guess there is no riding ouble on this jetski (ouch!).
