@CrashFighter05 ohf.. might i add that my pc can start up in roughly 10 seconds, with a hard drive it takes at least 40, you need an ssd for your boot drive in this day and age
@CrashFighter05 aight
Ryzen 7 2700 8c 3.2ghz base speed
16gb ddr4 @3200mhz (g.skill trident z rgb)
samsung 970 pro 512gb (boot drive) r: 3.6gb/sec w: 2.7gb/sec
GTX 1660 ti OC (asus strix version)
Dark Base 700 from be quiet
Seasonic focus plus 650w 80+ gold fully modular unit
I didn't want the rgb on my pc to be completely overkill, I think its a nice aesthetic when it has the right balance of size compared to the other parts, but when its plastered all over the pc its just disgusting. I can also go into detail on why i chose every part i did, if you'd like me to
I've now downloaded and flown it, and I'm ready to give my critique. Pros:
Absolutely stunning detail and livery.
The construction and physical shape is beautiful, very well made, and stays very true to the original design
The mechanical part of this aircraft is truly incredible. Using as many as over 100 rotators on an aircraft really shows the amount of effort put into it.
The afterburner exhaust looks great
The yawing motion doesn't roll the plane and its actually effective at turning
Cons:
The weight is entirely inaccurate, should be roughly 150 tons
It's also larger than the real thing, which is 202 ft long, 40 ft tall, and with an 84 ft wingspan
The weight causes it to accelerate multiple times faster than a Tesla car
Completely stops when engine power is cut
There's no suspension at all in the landing gear
Roll rate is painfully slow, had a hard time adjusting my orientation to land
Nitpicks and small issues:
There are no navigation lights on the wing
The trailing edge at the base of the vertical stabilizer is flat instead of like it is at the tip
The landing lights that fold out stay out when 7 is turned off, an issue I've encountered and know how to fix
The control surfaces don't entirely line up with the wing where they attach
Overall, you did an amazing job on building and shaping it, but part of a SimplePlanes build is the flight experience. Paying attention to that is important for those who download and want to fly it. I do understand being finished with this project you probably don't have much motivation to work on it more, and i very much understand that. So I'll offer my own revision based on my critique, if you allow me to.
