It looks great. The controls might feel more intuitive if the engine nozzle was on roll or yaw, instead of vtol slider. I look forward to more sportscars, maybe with extra surprises.
I had a blast accelerating to 1400 in a 90 degree climb. dropped to negative 90 from 130,000 feet. skimmed the ocean with the right aileron got greed tried again and was mach two confetti! awesome!
@tominator Thanks man. That's great to hear. I may try for some other ones. I just uploaded my favorite one yet! Drop Reaper. Please let me know what you think.
Designed as a lifting body, This space infantry transport is intended to bleed speed and get to the ground. With 100,000 lbs of thrust it isn't so much a lifting body as a can of whoop ass punching its way through the sky! It can change course dramatically. it can fly with the rear engines alone and add about 5% thrust from the vectored thrust nozzles to trim pitch. On landing cut throttle thrust and get below 160 mph to activate 1 and drop gear. Then deactivate 1 to lock gear. You will probably need to cut vtol slider thrust on the rear engines to slow down. Once gear are locked down, cut rear engines and glide in. with the rear engines cut you and hover with the vtol engines. I cut throttle to around 38% depending on remaining fuel. Once you get low the rest is up to you! I left 5 open to add a wing pylon mounted anything later in the cargo bay. Have fun and please let me know what you think! Ratings are always appreciated.
Perfect! This plane is the inspiration for the hero plane in "Sky Crawlers" directed by Mamoru Oshii story by Hiroshi Mori and music by Kenai Kawai.absolutely perfect!
So balanced. I was able to land this at 32mph forward speed in a hover while looking at the craft from underneath. I've never built a volunteer so easy to fly. Digging the design. Stargate A little bit here?
Sometimes the weight of the parts as well as overlapping pieces will cause it. Try spawning with different parts removed until it stops exploding, as much of a pain as that is, it's all I can think besides building a new one and spawning after every few new parts.
Very fun reverse trench run at 45% throttle using vtol to power through hair pin turns. Almost landed on US Tiny first try. Great plane. Great design. If I make something inspired from this, worth posting I'll make sure this is the predecessor.
I'm having a hard time after about 300mph. It shutters and explodes. Do I need any particular settings?

Wow. Looks like I have to start messing with xml if I'm going to do anything as cool as what's showing up these days.
Perfection!
All I need is a chello!
I really dig the attention to detail such as the different tail cones. Not to mention the other.
Wow! Great plane. I have my work cut out for me.
@MrDude thanks dude.
@Mr Dude thanks dude.
@ElijtheGeat thank you. I'm going to make a better one.
This ornithopter is perfect. I have to completely redesign my dragon and maybe it will work now haha. Thanks for a fun plane.
Great ideas.
Very clever. I may do something similar. If I do, I'll make sure to mention you.
Great!
@ElijtheGeat thanks.
@IceDragon416 thanks.
Not Minato damn auto correct! @tominator
@to Minato yeah I drop my settings low.
Haha
@Iguas0s thanks. In order to reply type "@" and the name like I did. I look forward to seeing more.
Much better than my wingnut plane.

Amazing! My laptop is lagging but i love this craft. I look forward to seeing more.

great design.
I love seeing other cockpits. The handles look great.
As soon as I get to the computer, I'll play with this.
@planes things thankyou.
@planesnthings this was a rough attempt similar to yours. Yours looks way nicer.

The rcn intake is the best.
This is awesome! I made a plane called Wingnut. It has a robot moving appropriately for controls but not having the controls. This inspires new ideas.
Absolutely gorgeous.
@WalrusAircraft Thanks. Everything was for the front landing gear. I've been too lazy to mess with the xml. I'll have to in order to do this smaller.
@WalrusAircraft Please let me know what you think.
what a package.
@TheLatentImage Thanks. The eyes were an accident but probably my favorite part.
@WalrusAircraft Thanks. Once i resolve the gear mechanics it should be a lot of fun.
@UglyBull thanks. I like the mechanical aspect of all the new parts.
I'm as impressed with the rear gear as any of it.
@JMicah4 thanks.
@WalrusAircraft I'm going to try the F4F Wildcat and it's landing gear. I'd like to use your prop for it. Do you mind?
also VTOL for rotor pitch!

Sounds great.
I tried this on my phone and can't get it off the ground in one piece. it works on my laptop. I'll try again.
lots of fun
