Uservoice forgot about me but left my paintbrush tool post up. I know this because I cannot get into my old account no matter what I try, all that happened when I used similar credentials was it making new accounts.
I've done it once, but now I am second-guessing my own theory because I don't know if I turned 180, all I know is that I followed the islands past Cthulhu.
@StallFlight James and Prototype are right, the parts randomly connect and then you can't use the add part button because the connection is already occupied.
You can disconnect the part, move it somewhere else (don't reconnect on the connection that you want to use the "Add Part" feature on) and nudge it back into it's original place, then without moving it with your cursor, nudge it back out again and then use the add part feature.
It could be bouncing on the ground because of the custom landing gear. Car wheels were made with very weak joints and they tend to bounce around when attached to any type of suspension (excluding the built-in wheel suspension). This causes the plane to bounce on the ground. I wasn't able to test the plane because I currently have no access to SP, but from looking at the plane online that's what appears to be the bouncing problem. To fix the drifting, try putting vertical stabilizers inside the landing gear legs, don't add any vertical stabilizers anywhere else because the visual design should work perfectly aerodynamically as-is thanks to the gear legs by default aerodynamically acting as vertical stabilizers.
