I can now make some more ideas of mine in SP, like bomber glass noses and open cockpit planes! The smoothing is definitely a game changer! I’m also happy about the possibility of auto aim turrets, I make turret equipped planes a lot and this may open me up to using FT in my builds! I now wonder if there would be a new stock airplane made using the new features...
@KnightOfRen bruh just make an account. Also, other means could also be through Google Hangouts, although idk if anyone uses it. Honestly Discord is the best way to go, since a lot of prople here use it, and you should be able to join it and create a server/group chat for those things.
Absolutely beautiful. I love the little details on this aircraft like the gunsight, the gear, the casing ejection, the cockpit, and more. The paneling and striped rudder is great too. Only thing I don’t really like is the thin wings and tiny stabilizers, as well as how underpowered it is, but the fun details are awesome. You’ve earned an upvote!
The aircraft's planform is a far cry from what the TBF's actual planform looked like. The wings are not only mid mounted, but the stabilizers are far too small for its weight. As a result, this affects the flight characteristics of the aircraft greatly, as it requires a much higher takeoff speed, and stalls way too easily. This plane is simply too heavy for its wings. The additional weight created by the crappy fuselage wings and the wonky details like the airbrakes, parachutes (why), weirdly placed lights, among other things, exacerbates this. The fuselages on the wings go over the control surfaces and looks weird when you see the control surfaces popping out of the wing while flying it, too. The gear also pops out of the plane’s wings when you retract them, and that’s just because of the awful choice of gear you have there (the TutorialPlane uses that kind of gear in that arrangement because there is enough space inside the engine nacelles for the gear to retract into.) Something I do not get is the extra ailerons connected to the yaw axis, which creates a forced Dutch roll affect. I have no idea why that is there, Dutch roll is usually something you would want to avoid. The normal ailerons are also clipping through those weird yaw ones, and only extend to the middle. The control surfaces on the elevator and rudder are too small, even on the tiny stabilizers they are mounted on, and yet the plane still stalls out from too much elevator deflection in combination to the immense amount of weight placed onto the wings.
Now, for the positives. As a person that likes putting working gun turrets on planes it was at least a pleasant surprise for this mess of a plane to have one onboard. The use of those hollow fuselages was smart, too. I’ll probably implement that into some of my future airplanes actually
TL;DR, the plane is indeed pretty crappy in construction choices and flying characteristics and has barely any pluses.
i'm happy people like my egg plane :)
I thought it was Jun-der-ooh lmao
Btw what happened to the Ciprani Ingoiaire?
Boxfuse wonderfulness
I'd like access, trolls are annoying
Have an awesome birthday!
+1Quality meme
+1Reminds me of the station wagons from Fallout 4.
+2@KnightOfRen Hopefully you would make it actually flyable this time, and more faithful to the real TBM/F.
terrifying
What are you talking about?
@bjac0 the future is now
@bjac0 bjac0
An essential item for raiding a witch hut
+1This thing was designed not for obliterating tanks, but buildings, from what I’ve heard. A building destroyer.

+2What a unique tiltrotor configuration !
Chamdel7 cooks up yet another masterpiece
@SuperRoto thanks!
Now all we need is for someone to create mechs of all the animatronics

@KnightOfRen if you don’t want people going into your “private” chat rooms why not just communicate through other means? (for example, Discord)
No wonder SpicyNinja hasn’t responded
+1The best award
I like your re-imaginings of the stock planes
Dang that's a pretty low part count build, but it look amazing for only that many
+2From someone outside this RP, I was truly engaged in this story. Well done writing it!
Oh wait, it’s about only pointing out flaws. Yeah, that ain’t good. I find positive aspects in planes as well as negatives
+1Same colors as the WT one, nice
@Wallaby Isn't that one a reproduction? From what I know, the only true survivors are all underwater.
Edit: You may be thinking of the Sikorsky VS-44 located there. The 314 reproduction is in the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, in Foynes, Ireland.
+1The original flying dorito
italian lunchbox of doom
I left but I may come back someday. I was just having a bad day.
hmm i may be guilty of this on one occasion
+1But I was told to give constructive criticism, so I gave a detailed post
Does that make me a jerk?
That’s an awesome HUD!
+1Interesting use of flares
I didn’t know Cheeto dust man had a Cessna.

@KnightOfRen ok
The link doesn’t work for me @CobraHueyIndustries
@KnightOfRen in my opinion, it was just how annoying it looked, compared to the more simple original
That 314 is pretty
Oh wow he left huh
I didn’t like BogdanX’s GC
Congrats nerfenthusiast!
@KnightOfRen Alright, here it goes.

+7Is it ok if I give some constructive criticism of this machine here?
