@MisterT "and the high performance"
Well, in general, all factories, hangars, towers, windmills use LODs. And the secret of high performance is the use of 70+ meshes instead of Unity terrain. Instead of millions of triangles and stupid restrictions, I have 112 thousand triangles for the whole map, and without stupid "max pixel errors" and "basemap distance"... Also, instead of using thousands of brushes and splatmaps, I use a shader with only three 2048px splatmaps .
@Graingy Ok.
1.Use Windows
2. Download both files, Variterra Archipelago.spmod and Variterra Archipelago [Buildings module]
3. Drop both files into C/Users/User/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlanes/Mods
4. Update your SP
5. Launch game and activate both mods
@Graingy Calm down... You asked what kind of computer is needed to run this card, I answered with my specs and wrote that my cpu and gpu are under 40% load. And users in the comments note that the mod is surprisingly optimized. I don't know the reason for this problem, because it may be that you have Linux, or maybe you don't have free space on the disk, maybe you didn't download all the necessary files, maybe you installed the necessary files incorrectly.
@MisterT In the original forests, there were tens of thousands of the same trees, and they did not affect productivity. This is due to the simplicity of the tree model, probably a non-standard shader, and the fact that there was a forest texture under the trees on the terrain, which hid the disappearance of the LODs of the trees...
@MisterT technicaly, town and trees its one object, with one collider, i must split mesh in blender, but it took 15min, and compilation 1:35hours. So, not today. I dont think that its a big issue
@Senkopilot No, and for objective reasons. First, the archipelago is so big that it won't fit between Wright and Krakobloa. That is, for it to look organic, the distance between it and another island must be at least 50 km. And at this size, why create a plugin when it can replace the entire map?
The second reason is optimization.
The third reason is a different artistic style and color scheme. It's like putting a Barbie next to Warhammer figures.

@BMilan so its look ok and no problem with fps?
@BMilan I'm about how does mod works. I won't sure that it works property for you
@BMilan btw, i dont see any screenshot with my mod, im not sure that it work propertly in other players
@BMilan thx, but as im write, thats not my map, only shader...
+1@LunarEclipseSP ) thats lowpoly meshes instead of terrains is magic) Im think it work well even for mobile, just need to simplifise texture
+1@cx332 again... Pls be sure, that you read mods description, and that you put mods in the Mods folder
@LunarEclipseSP did you have same problem with Variterra Archipelago?
+1@KendirovOKB
@Richflysplanes
Sad, i think, this mod get less scores than nurburgring(
@Th3Missil3 check your FreeCam mod
@Graingy drop spmod. to User/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlanes/Mods
+1@Graingy if you use low parts craft, it should work propertly. For example, on high graphic settings, im have 59fps, but GPU working only on 38%
@Graingy please read the mod desceiption

@Graingy dont drive a car
@Graingy Of course, if you're going to drive straight ahead, ignoring mountains, canyons, and straits...
@Graingy true, it take 1h to cross the map on 90kph
