This map is a port of a captivating terrain from the renowned NuclearOption simulator. Spanning an impressive 6710 square kilometers, it boasts a network of intertwining roads and freeways, along with strategically placed airstrips, bustling towns, and formidable military bases. With dimensions exceeding 80 kilometers in length, it's the ultimate choice for extended journeys and airborne adventures, offering unparalleled opportunities for exploration and immersion.
And now seriously. This map is an unofficial port of a game map from the wonderfull _NuclearOption_ game. Honestly, it was the best investment of $15, because I fell in love not only with the gameplay and interactive component of this game, but also with one of the best landscapes I have ever seen in a flight simulator.
Unfortunately, that game didn't allow you to build planes and drive muscle cars, so I decided to make a port of the map.
Contacting the developer _B25Mitch_, I explained the situation and asked him to provide me with the shader he used in his game. Unfortunately, he refused me this, although he said that he was not against me porting the map.
Long story short, the port looks so terrible compared to the original because I'm stupidly clueless as to what methods the shader uses for blending, so I did the best I could.
This is a truly gigantic map, which has huge dimensions, but is equally suitable for air, land and water transport. It's especially fun to ride hypercars here at a speed of 130mph)
Map of the Variterra Archipelago
The mod is delivered on a modular system, so far the main module and a module with buildings are available.
And if you please, please check out NuclearOption, this game deserves more publicity.

Release of the Buildings module
0.78 version
Fixed some colliders
Increased fog distance
Added two new Locations
2 lane roads and 4 lane roads now have same color
0.79 version
Fixed tree collisions (removed tree collisions)
All object materials now have their Smoothness value set to 0.1
The wind turbines have their sound, but it is still drowned out by the engines.
Oh, and I changed the Metallic and Smoothness values ??of the material of the map itself to 0.5 and 0.1 respectively, which I think improved the look of the scene.

@TunderTunder well, let's just see how is it would be.
@LunarEclipseSP doubt that. I don't have script to make it spawns optimized
@TunderTunder so it would including the foliage along with the patched version?
@LunarEclipseSP map updated for sure, traffic and if itl work, users with NO in steam library could enjoy original terrain shader
@TunderTunder Good to hear that. We'll look forward to it! <3
@LunarEclipseSP IL fix it in September
@BigHeadEngineering outdated mod, the latest update of the game ruined it
@Leviatham Possibly due to the latest game update, the mod has becoming outdated
The structures are completely black for some reason D:
why is the map black? all roads, buildings, runway, taxiways, and bridges are black. the terrain looks fine though.
@ TunderTunder With the help from SP Extra, i found that the brightness of the buildings are too low, but the lights can lit them up!!!
So,maybe we could adjust it?
@ActullyObama I agree, Obama.
@LunarEclipseSP ah, I came here to bring that up.
I see it's not unique to me.
please fix this map, its the best driving map in sp.
funny enough im also having the same issues as LunarEclipseSP.
also do i need to have the building part installed for it to work "properly"
@TunderTunder sweet! Good to know that.
@LunarEclipseSP yes, after AAS
@TunderTunder So it is possible for you to patch it in the future
@LunarEclipseSP ehh... I still have unity project on my disk, with new cities and Ignus Archipelago, but i beg to understand.
Currently, im modding WT and SeaPower, there is so much mess, i just don't think that I will be able to open project without any errors...
@TunderTunder I doubt it! The mod has been outdated as the new update of the game break it's compatibility.
.
You had a plan to patch it soon?
@LunarEclipseSP i guess new update break it...
Hello @TunderTunder , I've been playing this map for a long time, and recently the building module mod has turned into pitch black with no texture at all but the terrain is still retaining it's textures. I wonder if the mod has being outdated as the game is being updated. Please let me know about that. Thanks!
