  • No Vertical Stabilizer Challenge [Closed] 3.7 years ago

All of the wings - structural, horizontal, vertical, and primary - act the same. So, when I said no vertical stabilizer, I meant that there should be no wing that’s vertical. Take a look at the B2 Spirit to see an example of this.

  • no stabilizer 3.7 years ago

So, here’s the thing. All of the wings - structural, horizontal, vertical, and primary - act the same. So, when I said no vertical stabilizer, I meant that there should be no wing that’s vertical. Take a look at the B2 Spirit to see an example of this. If you can edit this plane to remove the vertical stabilizer, that would be great. Otherwise, I can’t score this.

Yeah, I was starting to get a bit annoyed on here. I had a few planes I was going to release, but it just didn’t seem to be worth it. Maybe just take a break and you’ll feel differently next week...

  • About the famous "baguette" 3.7 years ago

Part Two Since the French Indochina War, the French have been involved in numerous conflicts. To abide by SimplePlanes’ policy on politics, I won’t be getting any further into this topic. Long story short, these claims have been made by ignorant people or those who want to crack a joke. I’m pretty sure the French taken prisoner after their defence of Dunkirk wouldn’t be finding it too funny.

  • About the famous "baguette" 3.7 years ago

Part One Well, for the last 1,000-ish years, the English have taken great enjoyment in tormenting the French (see Steven Clarke’s book on the topic). One of these methods of torment includes bringing up one of the styles of bread that has come from France - the baguette 🥖. It is often employed by people who want to make fun of the French and their culture, as a way of saying “ha ha, the only thing interesting about you lot are your long pieces of bread!”
While on the same topic, many like to call the French “surrenders”, in reference to the capitulation of France to Nazi Germany in 1940. Simple-minded “historians” have read about the French surrender and turned it into a form of mockery. They use arguments such as “you couldn’t possibly expect the Maginot Line to hold up against a German invasion!” or “You thought the Ardennes were impenetrable to tanks!? That’s just silly..” or, my personal favorite, “Why couldn’t they just assume the Germans would go through Belgium? They were Nazis, after all.”
On top of those insults, jokes are made about the French Tricolor as well, such as the one that suggests that the only reason there was white on the flag was to give the French a means of surrender. Again, this “observation” has been made time and time again by people who watched one Oversimplified video on YouTube and called themselves master historians.
Lastly, the people who make these “hon hon baguette” surrender jokes have quite conveniently forgotten the 40,000 French soldiers who gave their lives in order to defend their beloved country and allow their fellow countrymen a second chance at driving the Allied boot up Germany’s backside. Outside of the standing French army, these “historians” have also seemingly forgotten the 200,000 active resisters in France to the occupying Germans. These resistance members fought both actively and passively against the Germans - assassinating German sentries, slashing tires, resisting orders, and sabotaging telephone and communication lines. How convenient go forget this.
Moving down the timeline now to 1946, we come across another conflict: The French Indochina War. This was a conflict in modern day Vietnam between the French and Vietnamese population in the form of the Viet Minh. The conflict in Indochina was lost and eventually gave way to the Vietnam War. Since their involvement in Indochina, the French have shied away from conflicts on a large scale. However, that does not mean they are exempt from them either.

@SnoWFLakE0s I’m trying to make the retraction/extension of landing gear to be delayed, so one retracts before the other starts to move. I’ve played around with various inputs, but I’m really just guessing.
