~Complaint Time~ In Japan (and maybe abroad too), there are "train nerds" who love trains. I'm one of them, and when I grow up, I want to buy a camera and take pictures. There are also people who slander such train nerds, calling them "gross." If you argue, they'll say "shupopopo lol," comparing the smoke emitted when angry to the smoke from a steam locomotive. Why do such people criticize train nerds? If you don't like them, then just stay away from them. Conversely, I think these people are also part of the people who make the neighborhood unsafe.
It's true that there may be some noisy people. In fact, there are. (Especially "toritetsu" who take photos of trains) But I don't think it's right to make fun of such people as if they were animals, calling them "nihontoritetsu," or calling them "disabled people."
That's because those people are only a minority, and there are also good train nerds. When you say it that way, it sounds like train nerds themselves are bad, rather than train nerds doing something bad. Also, criticizing people by calling them "disabled" is the same as saying that disabled people are a nuisance, which I think is extremely disrespectful to people with disabilities. I don't particularly object to warning people who are causing trouble. In fact, I'm in favor of it. However, I wish people would stop criticizing train nerds themselves. This doesn't mean I want you to stop because I don't like it.I say this because I think it's inappropriate to criticize someone just because they're a train nerd.
Some people will probably read this and think it's strange. There may also be a few who agree. However, if you think this is strange, I would like you to think again about whether you are able to distinguish between "bad train nerds" and "good train nerds," or whether you are distinguishing between "train nerds" and "everyone else." I hope that all the "bad train nerds" will become "good train nerds," and that public safety in railway areas will improve as soon as possible.
