Thank you, will consider that. A few TU-95s had an ASW mission, others were deployed offensively. (Actual TU-95 carries nukes internally and I doubt I'll try to replicate that feature.) @AlphaOneIndustries
Thank you this one was a surprise to me, using ancient "blocks+clipped engines" to strengthen the body to withstand hyper speed. Which has worked on posts even under the "new" Steam. @Nickasaurus
An ornithopter sounds cool, @Kimo (technically that seems to be your contest guidelines.) Will think about it. I look forward to some amazing entries, from others.
Keep it under 100,000 feet altitude (very difficult) and it goes level at 39,000 mph for while, then dives into the sea at 60,000 mph. I usually do not advertize the full performance profile.
FYI, I just posted an Android mobile build. "Jundroo Classic Scorpion". HAD to, and found out my "unsophisticated" VTOL missiles actually out-fly the newer version of weapons. About 1,500 mph faster -- on all our mobile systems. Enjoy while you can, @Nickasaurus and @TheLatentImage , these missiles do not work on the Steam SW platform.
All too true, my https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/LIpV2W/Alien-with-ION-Drive-Movie-Prometheus and https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/MOcKaF/Narada-Star-Trek and https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/14EE5X/Battlestar-Galactica-Upgrade ONLY fly in the air @Nickasaurus
OK, then the body must block airflow that creates lift in the sim world. Double the wing size? I'll re-post a modded UFO of mine just for fun. @Nickasaurus
Great build! (Wish that Steam allowed more than 50% throttle -- some of my builds can only be flown at 18% power, others go hypersonic at 100% power. There should be a forum about power management on Steam.
Achieved this, rarely, with that high a speed having a negative value. I think you ought to allow -670,616,629mph as well as +670,616,629 since there really is no "up" or "down" in space.
@Nickasaurus Yeah, already tried this on my desktop OSX, wasn't sure where you were going with this. The base shape has no lift. Without aero lift, you'd have to switch to a VTOL engine+ balanced nozzles. (Something I've done several times. Posted a couple of successes. I do not post all I build.)
This build is far better than 80% of new helicopter builds! Big Hint: since SP software cannot duplicate swash-plates on operational helicopters, I simple add small thrusters. For roll, download, checkout and copy my latest "Chinook". Those powerfull blades give you all the roll you ever need, with the rotor blocks I attached them with.
I have many faster models built on mobile devices. Your comment reminds me I should re-post the bettwr ones (this was not a better one) so others can enjoy. @DdroidGamz
@DdroidGamz Thx, glad you could re-use the wingplan design. The thrust sucks on this first post, please upgrade the engines! The newer engines are SOMETIMES better.

Thank you, for a cold war veteran AC that just got good missiles, @AlphaOneIndustries
Thanks, @AlphaOneIndustries
Thank you @bjac0
Fun!
Thx, the platform took some time.... @Nickasaurus

Nice aero qualities via some new parts, I like it!
Whoah horses, I never got it that fast! Thx for testing! @Bilak777

Thank you for testing and commenting! @Furiouslyawesome
Thank you, @Nickasaurus
Thanks! Meant to be a true wing-plan replica. @PlanesAndThings
Nice build! Used to work with Navy pilot's that might question all those logos......
Neat! With missiles this could shoot down the Iran Air Force SU-17 model I saw posted somewhere.

[I've build bigger models that fly well] But this one is super "cool!"

Thank you @corey1324
Thank you @Nickasaurus
@Ash976 A single modded VTOL, combined with low drag.
@DogeZ Thanks! I do not usually post reverse-Wing designs. This design, after many tests, worked out well enough I shared it.
G'luck I'm a mobile at present, cannot download.
@DdroidGamz Comment: you need roll & pitch (not yaw) on mobiles. Rudders are not too effective, for example, on SP at the moment. IMHO.
Forgot to upvote, just did, it's a great build. @Rohan
Fun!
Already been done, within those parameters. Hope folks who submit a challenge posting have learned something new. Good idea from you.
Go for it! (I'll rebuild and re-post new BSG and other models, myself. New structures help me a lot.) @Nickasaurus

Steam in general is kinda slow, but this looks and handles well.

Thanks, few check out this Trek Adversary ship model, @goboygo1
Thank you! @goboygo1
Thank you @flyingsteve88
Thank you, @Delphinus
Merry Christmas! @TheLatentImage
Steam sucks. Cannot adjust settings on OSX 10.11.2 when Steam gave me Windows joystick controls on my Mac, @SpiritusRaptor good luck.
Thank you @MrTaco
Thank you @TheLatentImage
