@aguy Yeah, it's pretty much changing some numbers and text in XML files. I don't know why Jundroo haven't included that functionality in the base game, it would give the users so much more power and wouldn't take more than a few days at most to implement.
@Irobert55 Yeah, I looked it up on Wikipedia. Sounds interesting, but anime really isn't my thing. I do like Blade Runner (haven't seen Ghost in the Shell).
@aguy Apple's policy is a very good one, in fact. If user-contributed mods were permitted, it would be very easy for a user to contribute a mod with malicious code.
@EternalDarkness Well, it's just as functional as any of my spaceships. The details are made possible by the fact that the basic shape has a very low part count and is mostly flat surfaces. Glad you like it.
@dootdootbananabus Well, what I said below is relevant then - if the shape can be made using my scripts, and if you can describe/draw it well enough, then yes.
@Stingray Nice. The effect of launching a bunch of missiles/bombs together is cool, but I'm ok with the default fire method. Especially as I usually use just guns on my builds these days.
I'm not even aware of any drama today or yesterday. And what have I told you about offering unwanted suggestions? I'm trying to be polite, but you're pushing me to change that. @WNP78
@Irobert55 Das Experiment is also based on the real Stanford Prison Experiment. Very sobering insight into human nature. Das Leben der Anderen is in a class by itself. It shows the destructive effects of living in a surveillance society.
"Posting that everywhere?" You have a strange definition of "everywhere."
That individual has been badmouthing me every chance he gets for months. The least I can do is clear my name and expose his duplicity. I'm sure you'll disagree, but I'm not going to budge on that. And so far, you're the only one starting drama over it.
Also, has anyone ever told you you're very arrogant? You have a tendency to wade in spouting (quite condescending) advice and opinions when they haven't been asked for. At the risk of sounding like you, I'd advise you to mind your own business.
@TomShift Good to know. I have lots of mobile-friendly builds, especially my earlier ones. Check my first few posts pages, I have quite a few builds under 200 parts.
@chancey21 It's not the map, it's just the seven ships in the sandbox all placed in one location by editing CloudSettings.xml, which is one folder up from where your aircraft are saved.
@Irobert55 Good to know, you can never have enough cuss words for people like that.
Speaking of better things, have you seen Das Leben der Anderen? It's one of the best films I've ever seen. Das Experiment and Die Welle were also quite good.
@Irobert55 But getting back to Mantafahrers, we have another type of loser here in Australia -- let's call them sirenfahrers. This is an individual with barely enough intelligence to get a job driving something with a siren (an ambulance, fire truck, etc.) -- not to be an actual fireman, mind you, just to drive them around. And they abuse that pitiful power (having a siren) for kicks, just to get attention. Somehow they think doing that will get them something other than contempt and derision. But then they're low-intelligence, as I said. Do you have these in Germany as well?
@dootdootbananabus You mean the smooth fuselages themselves? Sure, if you can describe the shape well enough, and if it's possible to make it using my scripts.
@RMark1 Well, if this was real life, we'd need a computer-controlled system that adjusts thrust to match the reduced mass, and also constantly redistributes the fuel to keep the center of mass fixed. We don't have any of that in SP, but we can easily emulate that by using an XML modded fuel tank with massScale = 0. I recently uploaded a parts kit that has a fuel tank with 1,000,000 gallons and zero mass, you can use that if you like.
I have a tutorial on this subject that has everything you need to create your own spaceship-type build.
@FGW2014 it's great, perhaps a mite sensitive to control inputs. The gun could be more powerful as well. Try setting damage to 10000 and roundsPerSecond to 20. One last thing I'd recommend is to make it able to take off from land. That's easily done by adding a zero-mass engine with thrust equal to about 2x the mass of the build, in line with the center of mass, and binding it to a momentary input like Brake. To take off, you just press Brake until you're in the air, then fly normally.
@KerlonceauxIndustries More like I was inspired to build a spaceship that handles perfectly after trying to make the MD500 do so. (If a structure is asymmetrical about the horizontal plane, it throws off SP's angular momentum/drag calculations and causes the build to roll when torque is applied around the Y-axis).

Glad to hear that, @Stingray. Desktops beat the hell out of tablets and mobiles any day.

Glad you think so, @Tang0five
Thanks, @Ephwurd. It's fun to do something different once in a while.
Thanks, @TomShift @Davisplanez
@DemonSniper8 Nope, metallic finishes are where it's at for me.
@EternalDarkness Well, it's just as functional as any of my spaceships. The details are made possible by the fact that the basic shape has a very low part count and is mostly flat surfaces. Glad you like it.
@chancey21 Well, this is not my design, so that's fine.
Thanks, @ACMECo1940

@Davisplanez Yeeeeeee
Thanks, @SangerAircraft
No, haven't heard of that one. What's it about? @Irobert55
Whatever you make of them. Ideal use cases would be nose cones, tail sections, fuselages, etc. @TheNightmare811
I'm not even aware of any drama today or yesterday. And what have I told you about offering unwanted suggestions? I'm trying to be polite, but you're pushing me to change that. @WNP78
To whom it may concern
I wish a certain two-faced individual and his buddies* would just leave me alone.
* This means you, @WNP78

Have a nice day (and hopefully, a nice life).
@TomShift Good to know. I have lots of mobile-friendly builds, especially my earlier ones. Check my first few posts pages, I have quite a few builds under 200 parts.
@ThatWeirdGuy Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
@RocketBoy101252 No, I wasn't thinking of any specific uses. It's entirely up to whoever uses it.
@RocketBoy101252 That's... an odd question. You can't think of a use for these?
@FGW2014 You're welcome.
@chancey21 It's not the map, it's just the seven ships in the sandbox all placed in one location by editing CloudSettings.xml, which is one folder up from where your aircraft are saved.
@FGW2014
When I try to take off from land, it just noses into the ground. Edit: never mind, I just read the instructions.
These are all the Gun.State settings with the typical values I use:
ammoCount="200"
burstCount="1000"
timeBetweenBursts="0.5"
muzzleVelocity="2000"
roundsPerSecond="20"
spread="0"
activationGroup="0"
tracerColor="00FFFF"
damage="10000"
bulletScale="20,20,10"
muzzleFlash="false"

@Irobert55 That's too bad. I guess scheisskopfen are everywhere.

@Irobert55 I had a look, and I get the humor, but it's a little heavy-handed for me.
@ThomasRoderick Nah, at SledDriver Industries we stick to technologies that actually work... nice reference though. And thanks.
@dootdootbananabus You mean the smooth fuselages themselves? Sure, if you can describe the shape well enough, and if it's possible to make it using my scripts.
@Awsomur Thanks, awsomur builds to come.

Other than that, a lot of fun.
@Z3RO never played Homeworld, I was more into Descent: Freespace. Glad you find it interesting, though.
@Irobert55 I'll check it out later today.
@chancey21 There's only one Beast, did you mean two Tinys?
@chancey21 In my head, more or less. I only have time to build one a day or so, though.
Hilarious.
@KerlonceauxIndustries More like I was inspired to build a spaceship that handles perfectly after trying to make the MD500 do so. 'Boreal' means of or related to the north wind or north itself. @Ryn176 @dootdootbananabus
@Z3RO Go for it.
@chancey21 Nope, don't need or want to know anyone's home address. Amazon gift cards can be e-mailed, and Steam ones can be sent to a Steam username.
Thanks, @Ephwurd
@RMark1 Divide the mass of the spaceship by the engine's thrust in pounds, that'll give you the powerMultiplier.
