    @RailfanEthan Not the hero Beanland deserves, but the one it needs.

  • TH-56 'Reaper' 7.5 years ago

    Interesting change from your usual style. Just a tip, if you set the min on the rotators' inputController to 0, it'll stop the wings from going the wrong way if you VTOL down.

  • Harpoon II 7.5 years ago

    @Alpha029 It screams through the skies like a lost soul from hell, its supersonic shockwave hugging its contours, the sonic boom letting all in its path know that the brrt is on its way.

  • Harpoon II 7.5 years ago

    Is your bean-sense rumbling? @RailfanEthan

  • Harpoon II 7.5 years ago

    @RailfanEthan With great beans comes great flatulence.

  • Harpoon II 7.5 years ago

    @RailfanEthan Use your bean for good, not evil.

  • Harpoon II 7.5 years ago

    @BaconRoll Yeah, based on a quick Google search, they increase roll instability and therefore increase roll response, which would be good for a fighter. You might need a computer-controlled continuous feedback system to maintain stable flight. Anyway, I'm just hyar to build some cool-lookin' hairyplanes, not hurt ma head wit dat science stuff.

  • "The Flyer" 1903 Wright Flyer 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 You're welcome. This looks great, but I can't test it -- every time I try to take it into the sandbox, SP crashes.

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    @BroWassup Well, it would take a while to explain, but basically you have to understand how fuselage blocks (and any other parts you want to use) work, have a good grasp of 3D math and geometry in general, and be fluent in a scripting/programming language.

  • Harpoon II 7.5 years ago

    @Alpha029 Thanks. Does it look evil enough?

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    @BroWassup It's just scripts I write myself.

  • Harpoon 7.5 years ago

    Yeah, he tuned the flight handling quite well, especially considering it's only his second upload. @ChristianFennell @Spectre2520

  • Harpoon 7.5 years ago

    @Spectre2520 Don't be sorry, you meant well, and there's no harm done at all. Your Jet Spectre looks pretty good and handles well for a beginner -- well done. What would you like me to do with it?

  • Das Boot Mk-VIII 7.5 years ago

    @Stingray Good improvement. By the way, in the description, I think you mean trim instead of pitch to elevate the laser cannon.

  • Das Boot Mk-VIII 7.5 years ago

    @Stingray I didn't -- that song was in the movie 'Das Boot,' at least in the English version.

  • Das Boot Mk-VIII 7.5 years ago

    It's a long way to Tipperary, it's a long way to home...

  • Stiletto-X 7.5 years ago

    @Jetspeed1001 Let the hate stop me? I thrive on it! :)

    And thanks.

  • Harpoon 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 I've never posted one with 200 bombs, I do have some with 100, though. The Incendius is one.

  • Harpoon 7.5 years ago

    @ChristianFennell Thanks. Yeah, that's the downside of adding explosive ordnance. This isn't even the worst. Some of my builds carry 200 bombs...

  • Harpoon 7.5 years ago

    @Spectre2520 Thanks for being so vigilant, but do check the usernames first :)

  • Ferocius 7.5 years ago

    Never gonna give you up
    Never gonna let you down
    Never gonna stop surprising you

    @Latios22

  • Stiletto-X 7.5 years ago

    Glad you think so, @Latios22, thanks.

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    @Latios22 Have at it.

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @Mustang51

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @PorkyClown3, I might do that.

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @Alpha029

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    @123Planebuilder It'll be a while, maybe weeks. I haven't built a battleship before, so I'll need to think about it first.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @Mattangi Yes, exactly.

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @Treadmill103. Thought I'd just do a quick build for today. Now that another user has released a shape-generating script, I look forward to certain people putting their money where their big mouths are and generating builds like these with zero effort :) How soon do you think you'll start seeing other users putting up builds like mine?

    I went with the single color on this one because I think that brings out the subtle curves more. Adding stripes etc. would only obscure the shape. And then again, it's very easy to apply a color scheme, so anyone who wants to can paint it any way they like.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 Well, that's what my last comment is all about. Every script is different, the user interface depends entirely on the script's creator. Some scripts may have a command-line interface, others may have complex GUIs.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 Well, for that particular script, you first need to download Python and install it. Python is a scripting language. Install it with the default options.

    Next, get your image ready. Make sure the image is pretty small, like 20 x 20 pixels. You'll also need to reduce the color palette (the number of colours in the image) to less than 256. It's probably better if you just get an 8-bit-color icon off the internet and save it as a PNG in the same folder as the script.

    Then, just run the script (double-click on it or press Enter). It will open a command prompt, asking you to give it the path to a PNG image file. If you saved the file as test.png, type in test.png and then Enter. If you did everything right, it should generate a file called image.xml in your SP airplanes folder. Launch SP and see if you have an airplane called image. That'll be the generated file.

    As for scripting in general, are you asking about using scripts, or creating them yourself?

  • Zero 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @Iamsilverdahedgie

  • Spectre II 7.5 years ago

    @KillerDread Yeah, here

  • Spectre II 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @communisticbanana

  • Blimp 7.5 years ago

    @FrenticTeam I'm not active on youtube at all. I have my own channel for SP videos, but I don't even browse while logged in.

  • Blimp 7.5 years ago

    @FrenticTeam Interesting channel.

  • Blimp 7.5 years ago

    @AdlerSteiner It's no bother at all, thanks for tagging me. Although so you know, if someone makes a successor to your build, you get a notification anyway.

  • Blimp 7.5 years ago

    @AdlerSteiner Well, I can't say the colours are to my liking, but to each his own. @FrenticTeam you need to set the mass of the blocks you've added to zero, to stop it from flipping over.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @Texasfam04 Well, you didn't have to do that, but thanks. You have a nice day too (I mean that in the nice way, not the "go away" way :)

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @Texasfam04 I appreciate the support, I really do, but please don't give them an excuse to start commenting on my posts again.

    And we know what the problem is, anyway. These are just people who were raised to believe that if they just throw enough tantrums, people will get tired of it and give them what they want.

    There are two kinds of people in this world: those who deal with other people nicely (positive reinforcement), and those who apply a negative stimulus first, then demand that you give them what they want, if you want them to stop being a pain. Taken a bit further, this forms the basis of the criminal mentality ("pay up or we'll set your store on fire/break your knees/hurt your family, etc.").

    I've been dealing with the latter kind of people for the last few years in real life, and as a result of those extremely unpleasant experiences, I've taken a vow never to reward this kind of behaviour. Because if you give in to this kind of thing, you just encourage it, and you will get more of it. I've made it one of my life's minor missions, whenever I encounter people like that, to teach them a lesson they'll never forget.

  • MODDED Laser Gun Turret 7.5 years ago

    If you look at the "laser beam" head-on, it looks like the rainbow bridge from the Thor movies.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @Tully2001, I appreciate it.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    Thanks, @Texasfam04. If only real life were scriptable...

    while(!self.enoughMoney)
            self.money += UNGODLY_AMOUNT;
    if(person.isAnnoying)
            world.delete(person);
    if(self.location.isBoring)
            self.location = selectRandomAwesomeLocation();
    weapons.giveAll({ infiniteAmmo = true });
    self.godMode(true);

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 You're probably better off asking the script author to do that. I have to leave for work now (it's morning in Australia), but when I get back I'll take a look at it and get back to you.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 And if you look closely, many of my aircraft are inspired by the Blackbird: long, pointy fuselage with chines, wings placed way back, and two massive wing-mounted engines.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 Not the paint scheme, blacks and greys and metallic finishes have always been my favourites. When it comes to hardware, whether it's computers, guns, cars or airplanes, I only want it in black or dark shades of grey. As for finishes, it has to be a combination of matte-metallic, and various degrees of polishing, from bead-blasted to a mirror finish.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 I've loved the SR-71 since I was a kid. Its pilots used to call it the Sled, because it was pretty much only good (although very, very good indeed) at one thing: flying very fast in a very straight line. The pilots called themselves Sled Drivers, and it was one of my childhood dreams to be one, so...

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 Ahh, I really appreciate the support, but let it go. Don't give any of those people an excuse to keep commenting on my posts.

  • SCRIPT RELEASE 7.5 years ago

    @chancey21 No, why would I block you?

  • Tiger Kingdom 7.5 years ago

    Upvote for tandem-wing configuration.
