@harveyrobinson8 The Hyperion is just one color all over, except for the exhaust nozzles. The black and chrome you're talking about is just the metallic reflections of the paint.
@KSPFSXandSP I have to take issue with your counter-quote. It sounds glib, but isn't true. Someone could be unable to laugh because of a great tragedy they've suffered, for instance. It takes an idiot to laugh at everything, but it doesn't take an idiot to be unable to laugh at anything.
@harveyrobinson8 If you think 141702 points is high, see my HoverCannon II - it has over 1.1 million drag points. Drag is a function of cross-sectional area, so the fuselage-block construction method takes a heavy toll.
@KSPFSXandSP I have plenty of builds with bridge-busting and ship-sinking machine guns, but somehow infinite-ammo machineguns just don't have the fun of aiming a parabolic projectile weapon.
I don't think I've ever come across an inability to laugh, while the opposite seems quite plentiful.
@Treadmill103 You do? I'm currently working on a mechanism to make any plane reach its top speed almost instantly on takeoff (before the end of the runway).
@BaconRoll Not at all, I'm grateful, in fact . Earlier I'd passed it off as a harmless kids' movie, but now that I've watched it, it's good to be reminded of the extent of the insidious filth that's out there.
@BaconRoll Well, that's just one of the smaller holes, and it still makes no sense. Using the sword would probably spill less blood than blowing up the kaiju, and furthermore, spilling radioactive material high up in the atmosphere where it can disperse over a large area is infinitely worse than having it concentrated in a localized area on the ground.
Anyway, back to my original point, I despise the Lego Batman movie, and the people responsible for it. Under the guise of heavy-handed humor, they're infecting the most vulnerable audience (kids) with the trashiest ideas imaginable. I'll leave you with two pertinent quotes from The Fountainhead:
"Don't deny the conception of greatness. Destroy it from within. The great is the rare, the difficult, the exceptional. Set up standards of achievement open to all, to the least, to the most inept—and you stop the impetus to effort in all men, great or small."
"Don't set out to raze all shrines—you'll frighten men. Enshrine mediocrity—and the shrines are razed. Then there's another way. Kill by laughter. Laughter is an instrument of human joy. Learn to use it as a weapon of destruction. Turn it into a sneer. It's simple. Tell them to laugh at everything. Tell them that a sense of humor is an unlimited virtue. Don't let anything remain sacred in a man's soul—and his soul won't be sacred to him. Kill reverence and you've killed the hero in man. One doesn't reverence with a giggle. He'll obey and he'll set no limits to his obedience—anything goes—nothing is too serious."
@BaconRoll 'Pacific Rim' was fine. It made no sense, but it extolled the classic virtues of responsibility, courage, and honor. It had values. What are the values of the Lego Batman movie? That it's ok to make fun of someone great because they also sing in the shower, or go to the toilet like normal people? That anyone who's alone because they're better than your average slob needs to 'lighten up', 'relax,' 'come down off their high horse' a bit? That secretly, they actually need so-called normal people in their life?
@BaconRoll To show, and then make fun of someone's (especially a cultural icon's) private life is about as trashy as one can get. But then, trashy is the dominant culture these days.
@BaconRoll It's the kind of movie made by people who think they're much smarter and funnier than they actually are. I found it quite repulsive, in fact.
@EarthwormJim The software is just some scripts I wrote, about 200 lines of code. It generates very precise values, but in SimplePlanes when I mirror or save a plane I get rounding errors as well. Not that it makes a difference to how the planes handle.
@Ephwurd Ah, the dangers of copying and pasting descriptions. Corrected now. Retract gear to engage VTOL, throttle up, and fly around blowing stuff up.
@harveyrobinson8 Or you could say it looks like sound waves. Perhaps a hoarse voice. A Batman voice...
@SemedianIndustries It's made out of solidified fear.
@BaconRoll Thanks
Thanks, @phanps. That's exactly the look I was going for.

@F4f879 I tried all the low quality settings, it looks gray even on lowest quality, but yeah, I think that's what he meant.

@harveyrobinson8 What do you mean it turned out to be black? It's supposed to have a pearly metallic sheen, like bead-blasted aluminum.

@grizzlitn My CPU is a neural net processor. A learning gumbyooduh.
@KSPFSXandSP Well, it uses jet engines and wings so it can't operate much above 100,000 feet at all.
@harveyrobinson8 It's a Batwing - it's cool by definition.
You're welcome, @KSPFSXandSP - have fun blowing up the ships, missile base, bridges, and convoys. There is nothing a BombCannon won't take down.
Excellent, thanks for creating and updating such a useful mod. Part refresh is the feature I wanted most.
Thanks, @BaconRoll @grizzlitn
@Blue0Bull It's a pity the developers don't fix that bug, it should be fairly simple.
Thanks, @KSPFSXandSP. This was my first ever upload.
@KSPFSXandSP High-force detacher coupled with low-mass bombs. Tutorial here.
You're getting better, fast.
@Treadmill103 You do? I'm currently working on a mechanism to make any plane reach its top speed almost instantly on takeoff (before the end of the runway).
@BaconRoll Of course, you're free to like whatever you like. I'm just doing my bit to point out the monster behind the curtain of eyecandy.

@Stingray That's the magic of scaled, hidden wings and stabilizers.
@BaconRoll I watched some of it... can't say I liked it.
@BaconRoll Haven't seen that movie either...
@BaconRoll No, I don't know any Michael Jackson quotes.
@harveyrobinson8 Yeah, I get what you meant by it. Black and chrome is a good combination, too.
@harveyrobinson8 Edgy? I think obsidian and gold go very well together. And thanks.
@BaconRoll Yeah, Bruce said it really helps to impress the ladies.
Thanks, @OverlordAeronautics2

@phanps Wow, thanks for all the upvotes.
@phanps Yes, it's one of the more fun uses of scripting.
@BaconRoll I wish this way of building was incorporated into SimplePlanes itself.
@phanps Yes. I have a master script, and I change the functions and variables a bit to get different shapes.
It would be, if I was editing each part manually, one by one. I create the entire shape in one go. @belugasub @phanps
@TTHHSSSS Yes, isn't it
@F4f879 No, I ran out of key bindings. I could bind the pitch control to activation groups, though, if there's enough interest.
@pk41382 Don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Don't bring a pistol to a rifle fight. Don't even go to a hover-howitzer fight.
