@Rodrigo110 No hard feelings at all. I still don't get what the drawbacks are, or what's inappropriate or less strictly professional about my way, but to each his own.
@Rodrigo110 I don't think it's inappropriate. I had to spend time and effort to make this, whether it's simpler or more complex is irrelevant. Furthermore, this way, more people will see and download this version, thereby making my effort more meaningful than if just one or two people downloaded it. I've tried uploading different versions as unlisted links before, and hardly anyone downloaded them. So if I'm going to put in the effort to accommodate a custom request, I might as well make it public to maximise its utility.
@temporaryaccount Well, "scratch scratch" is a very obscure way to say that something is scary. You made the same comment on EternalDarkness's CF Gun post, as well -- how is that scary?
@Rodrigo110 What's this crazy thing a lot of people on this site seem to have about upvotes, as if they're something dirty? Someone asked me to make a mobile version, I had to spend some time to build this, why shouldn't it get upvotes?
@KSPFSXandSP Nope, I don't like the sound of it, and what's more, I loathe anything loud -- whether it's people, cars, motorcycles, or anything else. Might as well name one of my planes Cancer.
@KSPFSXandSP Hmm... not badass enough. I like names that sound good and mean something impressive, like Fortissimus -- fortis means "strong" in Latin, and Google Translate tells me that fortissimus means "champion."
@KSPFSXandSP I'm afraid that at the moment, they're not really usable by anyone other than me. If/when I ever give them a user interface, I'll release them.
@AfterShock Haha no, I just like the sound of some Latin words. I have a Latin-English dictionary that I scan for cool-sounding words, and Google Translate helps as well.
@AfterShock No problem. But to elaborate, most people only have one build style, so it's odd to expect multiple styles from one user. I've invented what is probably the most unique build style on SP, and intend to explore it as far as I can.
As for similarity, most conventional airplanes have the same basic structure: fuselage, engines, two wings, two elevators, one or two vertical stabilizers. Do you complain about the endless numbers of aircraft posted that have those attributes? There is more difference between any two of my builds than there is between an F-15 and an F-18, for instance.
Then, I have some builds that are strikingly unique, both on SimplePlanes and among my builds. Did you notice them?
@EternalDarkness Thanks, I tried to make this as easy to fly as possible. I think next I'll do a multi-drone version, it would be fun to destroy up to seven targets with one press of a button.
@DarthAbhinav Thanks, but I'd prefer you remove the comparison to the other player. That kind of comment can only breed resentment. He's better at making weapons that have a sci-fi movie look, whereas I concentrate more on weapon performance and building in my own style.
@AfterShock It seems so long ago... but remember, points on this website mean nothing in the outside world. It's not about the points, it's about creating things that make you happy.
@KSPFSXandSP You look at the XML files and see how Parts are defined and how they connect to each other. You get a good understanding of how frontScale, rearScale, offset, and cornerTypes work. Then you write a script to generate the XML for both Parts and Connections. That's it.
@FlyingThings I was looking through your builds today, it's impressive how far you've come in a year. You have a distinctly unique build style. I think you should develop it further.

@temporaryaccount Oh, you're one of those who think being annoying is funny/cool/cute/whatever. Carry on.
@Mijmaj No problem.
Mobile version
@Mijmaj Here you go.
@DarthAbhinav It's like the Matrix -- once you understand the code, you can do anything.
@Ephwurd Well, I did mod it a little, increasing the ammo and launchForce -- based off @EternalDarkness's CF Gun.
@temporaryaccount ?
@Ephwurd They're just flares, I suppose the developers made them so they set fire to things.
@Ephwurd A fire-breathing, bomb-shooting beast.

@KSPFSXandSP Uh, I'll release them when I think they're ready for release.
@KSPFSXandSP Nope, I don't like the sound of it, and what's more, I loathe anything loud -- whether it's people, cars, motorcycles, or anything else. Might as well name one of my planes Cancer.

@AfterShock Hmm, both my dictionary and Google Translate say that veteris means old. You trying to put one over on me?
@AfterShock That's good but perhaps too well-known. Others I like:
Si vis pacem, para bellum (If you want peace, prepare for war).
Generosus equus non curat canem latrantem (The well bred horse ignores the barking dog).
Ira furor brevis est (Anger is brief insanity).
Vasa vana plurimum sonant (hollow vessels make the most noise).
Dum vivimus, vivamus! (While we live, let us live!)
@AfterShock Not sure what you're asking. I understand it means "the deep calls to the deep."
@AfterShock My favorite Latin quote is "Abyssus abyssum invocat."

@GermanWarMachine Credit where credit is due.
@AfterShock That's an odd and somewhat rude question to ask... how is this the same as any other of my builds? Similar, yes; same, no.
@EternalDarkness Yes, but multiple shots look so much better...
@EternalDarkness Realism, who has time for that? I present to you, the Firestarter prototype
@EternalDarkness The great thing is that you can stack them, so if you mount 30 flare guns on one drone, you can sink the Beast in one shot.
@EternalDarkness About 30 for the Beast, 20 for a destroyer.
@EternalDarkness I mounted some flare guns on a drone, and it works beautifully to sink the Beast.
@EternalDarkness Yeah, I'm all about efficiency.
How do you get it to hit a destroyer?
Thanks, @Aarons123
@EternalDarkness Thanks, I tried to make this as easy to fly as possible. I think next I'll do a multi-drone version, it would be fun to destroy up to seven targets with one press of a button.
Nice. Where do you come up with these names?
@DarthAbhinav Thanks, but I'd prefer you remove the comparison to the other player. That kind of comment can only breed resentment. He's better at making weapons that have a sci-fi movie look, whereas I concentrate more on weapon performance and building in my own style.
@FGW2014 Sure thing, TobogganSteerer.
Haven't seen a build from you in a while, @Ephwurd. What are you up to?
Nice. Very original, and flies well too.
@AfterShock It seems so long ago... but remember, points on this website mean nothing in the outside world. It's not about the points, it's about creating things that make you happy.
@Taviatormaster No mods, just scripts that I wrote from the ground up to generate these shapes.
Thanks, @Dllama4 @Homemadeforthepros

@FlyingThings One year or two, it's still impressive.

Screenshots.
@RMark1 On second thoughts, I should have given it a tail.
@Cgilbert Afraid not, I'm not into cars.
@RMark1 Does it remind you of a bird? To me it looks like an eagle gliding up high.
