@123Planebuilder The SR-71 pilots called it the Sled, because it was pretty much only good at one thing -- travelling very fast, in straight lines. They called themselves Sled drivers.
There's a great book called "Sled Driver" by Brian Shul, a former SR-71 pilot. Lots of great stories.
Here comes the train again
Rolling down the tracks like a memory
Rolling down the tracks like a new emotion
I want to fly in the open wind
I want to bomb like Stukas do
I want to stay out of the ocean
Cos thats not good for you
@EternalDarkness Thanks! This one's a lot easier to use and a lot more fun than the Schragebomber. And it carries 60 bombs instead of 20... have fun carpet bombing.
@123Planebuilder By the way, one missile isn't enough for that. The missile base has two laser guns which shoot down any incoming bombs/missiles, so you'll need to fire several missiles so that some can get past the lasers. Also, you can't fire all the missiles at once, because that puts them close together, so that when one gets blown up by the lasers, the others explode as well. You need to launch at least 3-4 missiles in a staggered fashion. I'll upload something in the next couple of days.
@Thederpingmemes It's certainly possible (plenty of cockpits have square panes), it would just take some effort and have a weight penalty.
A simple solution would be to reinforce the square corners. Another way would be to have the window pane extend past the square frame, so that it looks square while having rounded corners.
These solutions would need extra material and thus weight, so they're not optimal, but it certainly can be done.
@Thederpingmemes Square windows are certainly possible. Furthermore, just because the holes are square, doesn't mean the windows have to be as well -- anyone who uses this can fill in the square holes to get whatever shape they want.
@SpiritusRaptor No chance of that, I'm afraid. Most of this community has diligently ignored me, and some of them talk quite a bit of trash about me behind my back. Outstanding, ground-breaking, one-of-a-kind builds of mine get ignored and have no chance of being seen past the first few hours. I have zero interest in letting most of this community benefit from my work.
@iLikeipads Well, YT also has problems, mainly with stupidity. Because the userbase is so vast, idiots vastly outnumber quality content creators, which means that the few good videos are drowning in a sea of trash and it's very hard to find quality content.
@iLikeipads Well, try to work out a compromise. Instead of a tablet, use a desktop computer that's in the living area, so that they can keep an eye on what you're doing.
@iLikeipads Well, I'm not really a big Youtube uploader, I only post videos once in a while, and they're all SP related, so if you follow me here, you'll see them when I post them.
@Stingray I'd like to add bomb bay doors, sliding panels and all that, but SP doesn't provide a good way to do it. Adding rotators and pistons to a build instantly degrades performance, so I don't use them.
I posted plasma shotguns a long time ago. If you want the plasma cannons from this build, they're in the gun barrels. You see the front of the gun barrels, the shiniest bits? The first block is conical, after that you have the section with fins, and the last block after that is the one that contains the gun.
@Stingray Thanks. What would you be looking for in a cockpit view? I like the bare, crosshair-only cockpit myself, because it gives me an unobstructed view, somewhat like the F-35 helmet display. And it keeps the part count low.
Re: weapons, how about if I released a selection of weapon pods (BombCannons, Cleaver missile pods, etc.) so that people could mount any weapon they liked on any build they chose?
@Treadmill103 Thanks. That was originally going to be a bomb dispenser, but the proportions didn't fit so I made it a random compressor-radiator-looking thing. What do you think of the chines?
@iLikeipads That blocky thing is a spotter drone -- you can place it near the target, observe the effect of your fire, and correct your aim. I had to create it so the howitzer could hit targets beyond visual range.
Congratulations to you, @amazingperson124. Don't forget to tell me your Steam username or Amazon e-mail in an unlisted post. Note that if you use Steam, I have to add you as a Steam friend and then wait three days before I can send you a gift card.

@123Planebuilder Well, what size planes can your mobile run? Can it run this one?
+1@123Planebuilder ikr?
@EternalDarkness We build 'em strong here at SD Industries.
@123Planebuilder Yeah, I can make that. In the mean time, you can check out my bomb shotguns here and here.
@RailfanEthan Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
@EternalDarkness The M.Corp testing process seems quite... strenuous.

@EternalDarkness You glided down from 12 million kilometres? How long did that take?
@EternalDarkness Yeah, that's the other downside of carrying lots of bombs. Hope you enjoyed your trip into deep space...
@RailfanEthan Sweet beans? Good to see you around.
@MEERKAT978 Mmmm yeah, I remember the feeling when I discovered that as well. Now, go forth and carpet bomb some stuff.

Don't thank me now, thank me when it's done :)
Thanks, glad you like it. @SpiritusRaptor
@Thederpingmemes OK, well, let's just agree to disagree.
@Thederpingmemes It's certainly possible (plenty of cockpits have square panes), it would just take some effort and have a weight penalty.

@Thederpingmemes Because that's what was agreed upon.
@iLikeipads Try Vimeo, in that case. Much better community, much higher quality content.

And then there are the comments....
@iLikeipads Well, you probably won't like me then, I hate social media too.
Very clever!

Thanks, @I401SenSuiKan
@RandomDude Yeah, I wish the sounds were better in SP.
@123Planebuilder Sure, you want just one modded missile or a missile pod with multiple missiles?
@iLikeipads So get one, all you need is a mobile number, I think.
Thanks, @KerlonceauxIndustries @FastDan
+1@SpiritusRaptor I use scripts, as I'm sure everyone knows.
@iLikeipads Well, I'm not really a big Youtube uploader, I only post videos once in a while, and they're all SP related, so if you follow me here, you'll see them when I post them.
Sounds like fun, @Stingray.
Glad you like it, @chancey21
+1Very effective weapons, the combat is gloriously one-sided. Just one thing, shouldn't the number be 007?
Thanks for the review, @Stingray
@chancey21 Here you go.

@Ephwurd Thanks, she's beautiful, isn't she.
@Stingray Here you go, a version armed with 20 missiles that it fires two at a time.
Very nice, especially for such a low part count. Flies well, too.
Nice work, @DemonSniper8
@Treadmill103 Thanks. That was originally going to be a bomb dispenser, but the proportions didn't fit so I made it a random compressor-radiator-looking thing. What do you think of the chines?
@phanps Thanks. I say this a lot but this just might be my favourite build of all time.

+1@Treadmill103 Well, there were just four qualifying entries, so it didn't take much time :)
Very cool.
