@Irobert55 I heard a different story. They asked someone if they thought their band would fly, and he said "like a lead zeppelin."

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    Nice, @Thederpingmemes

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

@BaconRoll what's the difference between a clever strategy and a Scottish family that likes wordplay? One's a cunning plan...

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    You got it, @doge

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    Are made of lead? @RailfanEthan

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    Glad you think so, @CrossfireDynamics

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

@Treadmill103 would you say it skidded like a... sled?

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

It truly did. I had named it something completely different while building, this name came to me in a flash just before uploading @TakicraftCorporation

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    Thanks for noticing, @Cream

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    Heh @CeeToTheZee

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.5 years ago

    Yep @GermanWarMachine @Jetpackturtle

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @chancey21

  • Sled Zeppelin 7.6 years ago

@EternalDarkness I wonder how many people will get the name... As for testing, it's pretty much the same as any of my hover-builds, just in a different package. One difference is that the guns are angled down by 2 degrees, to make it easier to hit ground/sea targets without having to come down almost to zero feet.

  • Sabre III 7.6 years ago

@breitling Possibly, though most pilots would find it very hard to rely entirely on high tech, because if it failed you'd be blind.

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

@KSPFSXandSP Yeah, it's all fun and games and pretty fireworks in the sky until the sparks touch your ship and it explodes...

  • Aero L-159A ALCA 7.6 years ago

    @Mustang51 True, I didn't notice.

Great shape, and flies/functions well. Remarkably well done, but you're not presenting it well enough. First of all, the camera is too zoomed out in the thumbnails. Try to zoom in so the aircraft fills most of the view. Second, try a more eye-catching color scheme. This deserves a lot more upvotes.

  • EH-05 7.6 years ago

    Nice lines.

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

@123Planebuilder How about you make the B-52, and I make the bomb pod?

  • Sabre III 7.6 years ago

@Jetpackturtle I had to look that up. That looks really bland and boring to me, sorry.

  • Sabre III 7.6 years ago

Thanks, @Treadmill103. Very un-aerodynamic, but it looks cool, hmm?

  • Sabre III 7.6 years ago

@F104Deathtrap Thank you. I call it Jeet Brawn Do, "the Way of the Scripting Fist."

  • Sabre III 7.6 years ago

@breitling It could be, I imagined it as either unmanned or with a cockpit deep within the fuselage, with displays hooked up to external cameras/sensors.

  • Missile Pod, Burst Fire 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @Bugamashoo

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

    @123Planebuilder A B-52 with a bomb-launching pod, you mean?

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

    Here's the missile pod.

What was the carpet bomber thing again? I already have a carpet bomber.

    @123Planebuilder

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

@Bugamashoo Nope, I just don't have the time, unfortunately.

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

@123Planebuilder What were the things you requested, again?

  • Sabre 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @Ben1739

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @Ephwurd

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

@EternalDarkness Well, I guess I've made plenty of low part count builds, anyway. I plan to develop this style further.

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

Thanks, @EternalDarkness. Yeah, but look at the part count -- almost no one can download it.

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

Thanks, @Stingray. Yeah, I recommend AG2 to be kept off most of the time anyway. It's only supposed to be used for special maneuvers, like sharp turns.

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

@BaconRoll Well, you know how it is, take a day off, miss a SledDriver post.

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

@ACMECo1940 It does that to me as well.

  • Visiting Petrograd 7.6 years ago

    Interesting twist on the Valkyrie.

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @phanps

  • Stiletto II 7.6 years ago

Thanks, @spefyjerbf. Yeah, I kept the canopy simple to keep part count down.

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

@Z3RO I was never into either of those, but I'm glad this reminds you of them.

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

    @CenturiVonKikie Yeah, something like that.

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @Bugamashoo

  • From Russia With Love 7.6 years ago

"Your mission, James, is to infiltrate the research facility at Bilyarsk, and... retrieve... their hypersonic fighter prototype, and fly it back to England. It's a two-seater, but don't take that as an excuse to bring back one of those Slavic blondes you like so much."

"Go to Russia, shteal a plane. Yesh, shur.... How about a brunette, though?"

    "James...."

"I'll be on my way then."

@phanps Only if you like them, though. :)

  • Scimitar 7.6 years ago

@phanps I meant, now that you mention it, I am getting close to 100K, thanks to my stalwart supporters. They may be few, but they're all I need.

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.6 years ago

    Thanks, @JangoTheMango and @ThomasRoderick

  • Scimitar 7.6 years ago

@phanps Now that you mention it...

  • Scimitar 7.6 years ago

Thanks, @Treadmill103. You know, this series of builds was inspired in part by your designs.

  • ETA-2 Actis-Class Light Interceptor 7.6 years ago

@Rugpeersdude Sure thing, you have some excellent builds.

  • Am gonna post something hopefully on the weekend 7.6 years ago

Yeah, I've been wondering what happened to you.
