@dsr1aviation actually no, I just built this over the last couple of hours haha. Besides learning Unity, I've got a couple of late-WWII German concepts that I'm chipping away at
@AR as far as I know, wings can be more or less ignored for drag purposes. I'm not sure if they have no effect or just a small one, but either way it's not important. The things that bring drag up the most (in the game) are inlets and fuselages that are directly in the wind. Your Eurofighter a) is quite large, and b) has quite a bulky fuselage. Put these two things together and you get a lot of drag.
For comparison, look at any of SpiritusRaptor's planes. Most of them have over 5000 points of drag.
By "name" and "address", you actually mean "username" and "IP address", which is pretty standard stuff in an online account. They have IP addresses so that they can deal with people creating new accounts in order to circumvent the rules
@PhilipTarpley is there an option to get the old keyboard VTOL controls back? I quite liked having the keys quickly max out the slider and return to neutral once they were released. Otherwise, this is awesome, I'm loving the mouse control
@Toxicgirl ohh I see haha. Using more manoueverable or slower aircraft can help with that.I'm running an AI tournament with users' planes just now, I'll give you links to a few that you could get ideas from
Not bad. Try to remember things like the engines exiting underneath the fuselage, rather than either side of it. Also the rearward-facing gun destroys the plane. It flies just fine, though!
@TheMasterSoldier @Robertobean right, guys, I can see both of you attacking each other on various posts. It does not matter who started this or who thinks they're right, all that's happening now is bickering. Could both of you try to leave each other alone for a bit?
An in-game upvote button would be so helpful. I know that there is a mod in progress that also downloads a random plane (with some filters, like new) as well. I think the creators said they wanted to include in-game voting as a feature
You got it, planes don't lose weight at all as the use fuel. I think this is primarily because we can't decide which parts of the plane to use fuel from first, so it would ruin the CoM-CoL relationship on a lot of planes
@XVIindustries apparently I forgot to reply to this. I think Walrus' method is just overlaying loads of fuselage, which might be a bit of a pain to do. I'll take a look, but no guarantees
@_Putin_ yeah, check all the other forum posts, it's happening to everyone. If there is an actual problem, the devs will get it sorted, but for now there's not a lot we can do
@RyneKuczy can I maybe suggest not modding engines as the other rule? Unless you do specifically want that, which is fine, it's just so everyone is on the same page
@RyneKuczy aww man is there a video? That sounds like something out of Top Gun haha
@dsr1aviation actually no, I just built this over the last couple of hours haha. Besides learning Unity, I've got a couple of late-WWII German concepts that I'm chipping away at
@RyneKuczy here's mine, it's maneouvrable but probably a little underpowered. Still, I'll give it a shot!
The default controls have been changed, check your settings and you can see the new ones or change them back

Ooh, can I see the B2? Flying wings are interesting to work on
The answer to my terrible aiming!
@Toxicgirl good luck!
@Toxicgirl it flies nicely. Are you going to enter it in the contest?
@amazingperson124 put a backslash before a formatting character to cancel it out, like this: #loomynarty
@PhilipTarpley it was, thanks for saving me from just looking like a total muppet haha
@PhilipTarpley that would do me quite nicely
By "name" and "address", you actually mean "username" and "IP address", which is pretty standard stuff in an online account. They have IP addresses so that they can deal with people creating new accounts in order to circumvent the rules
@amazingperson124 yep. Give it a shot
@amazingperson124 environment settings are disabled in dogfights
@PhilipTarpley no worries, it's nothing critical. Thanks for the response
@PhilipTarpley is there an option to get the old keyboard VTOL controls back? I quite liked having the keys quickly max out the slider and return to neutral once they were released. Otherwise, this is awesome, I'm loving the mouse control
@Toxicgirl I'm afraid so, but I believe that KingDeadshot is still accepting entries for his
@Nickasaurus the idea should still work, a vomit comet works by having the plane freefall rather than by escaping earth's gravity well
@Toxicgirl
Rutan II
PF.2
Lightning 2.0
As an aside, giving everyone missiles and no guns tends to make for more interesting battles
@Toxicgirl ohh I see haha. Using more manoueverable or slower aircraft can help with that.I'm running an AI tournament with users' planes just now, I'll give you links to a few that you could get ideas from
@Toxicgirl what do you mean? v1.3 has enemies you can battle, and you can have the AI fly your own plane too
@Toxicgirl have you tested it against other fighters yet? I quite like doing the AI battles
@Toxicgirl that's alright, I'm glad I could find something that you wanted to build
Not bad. Try to remember things like the engines exiting underneath the fuselage, rather than either side of it. Also the rearward-facing gun destroys the plane. It flies just fine, though!
So, Rohan... would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or 1 horse-sized duck?
@Toxicgirl good luck!
@Toxicgirl how about an Ilyushin Il-40?
@RamboGaming no, I say it because squabbling on the internet doesn't help anyone. Trust me

@Pauciloquent huh, right you are. Nice job for a well-designed test. I guess it must just be a tiny amount then, but it will be for the same reason
@Robertobean if he keeps bothering you, report him and the mods will take a look
You got it, planes don't lose weight at all as the use fuel. I think this is primarily because we can't decide which parts of the plane to use fuel from first, so it would ruin the CoM-CoL relationship on a lot of planes
@TilliDie nice work! However, I have been working on something a little special today
@XVIindustries apparently I forgot to reply to this. I think Walrus' method is just overlaying loads of fuselage, which might be a bit of a pain to do. I'll take a look, but no guarantees
@Hazo Put a backslash before asterisks to stop the bold/italic formatting. * * ** ** is:
Here
@Medron no worries, I'm glad it's working
@Medron I think it's quite possible that it's actually the wing profiles causing the problem. If moving the CoM doesn't help, let me know
@Medron what are your wings laid out like? It doesn't sound like a stability issue to me
As an aside it might be worth taking the underscores out of your name, it means that tagging you is difficult and nobody can visit your page
Edit: never mind, I see you changed it
@_Putin_ yeah, check all the other forum posts, it's happening to everyone. If there is an actual problem, the devs will get it sorted, but for now there's not a lot we can do
It might be a permissions thing, the latest update required new permissions for Everyplay
They take a while, but it will happen. The site just seems to be particularly slow at the moment, it's happening to other people too
@Sirstupid heh, true. I actually picked it for the bird, rather than the plane, though. I'm surprised there isn't already a Blackburn Skua on the site
@Sirstupid hahaha, I've considered it but I was put off by the fact that they're ugly as sin
@RyneKuczy sweet, I'll try to get something good in for this
@RyneKuczy can I maybe suggest not modding engines as the other rule? Unless you do specifically want that, which is fine, it's just so everyone is on the same page
Just quickly: is xml editing restricted, and if so how much?
