@JovianPat oh is that why the background was all flat bottom wings? It took me a while to notice that, I couldn't work out why it kept turning right... also I have a lot of practice from helping people in the forums make things that really should fly fly anyway.
@dsr1aviation I actually didn't have a plan hahaha. It should be something really off-the-wall, I think. Would you prefer something fictional or a replica?
Hey man, I'm just commenting on your oldest plane since PMs aren't a thing on here yet. We're always bumping in to each other in the forums and helping other people out, how about we build something together? Maybe include HakkeAirTech too, he's usually there as well
It looks great, but the roof exploded when you start. It seems to drive well, if slowly. I'd say that if you can get some more power in there and fix the roof, you've got a really great build on your hands
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries yeah man, that was exactly what I meant. I'd just like to see a few letter keys on it that we can assign to whatever we want, though. The mobile version has options for autopilot and the like, but no way (that I know of) to actually use them
@EnderWiggin it's my plane, but it originally pitched properly.
@Evo9520 here it is with your weapons and unlimited fuel. If you're editing a plane and you don't want to change the handling, make sure you take a note of where the CoM and CoL are before you start. Also, is there any particular reason you had renamed it "Shuttle-Fighter-3-mine"?
@max12 bloody hell I was not expecting to come back to so many votes hahaha. Thank you very much. Feel free to ask if you need help with anything, I try to keep an eye on the forums. I'll check your plane out when I'm next on the game
@max12 I wrote a guide in the comments here a while back, that should help you a bit. Notepad++ is a pretty decent text editor for the job, but any will do
@max12 well that's alright then, you can do all of those things without Unity! In fact I think I did about half of them in this build. Xml editing is the way to go, which involves changing details of your plane's save with a text editor. I'm going out for lunch just now, but I'll write you some instructions later if you can't figure it out yourself
@max12 no worries, I'll always try to help someone who is making an effort. As far as I know, Unity is the only way to truly rescale parts, but xml editing can do a lot of stuff when you get to know it. Can you tell me a bit more about the sort of parts you want to create? The more I know, the better an answer I can give you
@max12 if you're using Unity for mods, you need to give people a way to download the mod so that they can use your plane. Leaving a link in the description is probably best. However, I've only made one finished mod so far, and I haven't uploaded any planes that come with it already attached
@Wolf09 well my main distraction just now is modding, but I'll try to get a plane or two up as well. I've got some fun ideas for planes that I don't think anyone has managed to make before. As for yourself, practice makes perfect! And so long as you're enjoying it, it doesn't matter what your planes are like
Races for me, even if that just means one person flying a route and the other trying not to lose them. Formations and dogfights would be pretty sweet too, though
@JetstreamAeronauticalEngineering I see what you mean. The way it works is that all Merlin engines are designed by Rolls-Royce, but obviously it would be ridiculous for RR to build them in the UK and then ship them over to the US. What they did instead was gave a licence to Packard to make Merlin engines in the US on their behalf. These are the engines that went in to the Mustangs. So any Merlin-engined Mustang has a Rolls-Royce engine, it's just that the actual parts were put together by Packard. Over the years, RR improved the Merlin and made a lot of different versions, which applied to all of the numerous planes that used Merlin engines. This means that later P-51s were indeed faster, but so were later Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Mosquitoes etc. The Mustang was faster than Spitfires with equivalent engines simple because it created less drag. The Spitfire sacrificed some of this speed for improved turning, with less weight and a lower wing loading. Similar planes, but designed quite differently for different jobs.
@Theflyingauzzie @MaleticAirplanes I learnt how to do Android mods, the smoke one will be out later today!
Sorry I haven't got mine in, every attempt so far has come out terribly. I'll give it one more shot tonight
@JovianPat ayyyyyyy
@JetstreamAeronauticalEngineering it's nothing official, the three of us just happen to respond to a lot of help requests on here
@JovianPat oh is that why the background was all flat bottom wings? It took me a while to notice that, I couldn't work out why it kept turning right... also I have a lot of practice from helping people in the forums make things that really should fly fly anyway.
@dsr1aviation just saw your reply, here's a forum for us!
@HakkeAirTech dsr1 and were thinking of doing a collaboration of forum helpers, would you be interested in joining?
All of them, you say?
@dsr1aviation I actually didn't have a plan hahaha. It should be something really off-the-wall, I think. Would you prefer something fictional or a replica?

@Toxicgirl how's this? One thing, though: don't use the mirror plane function, it'll break the inlets. Mirror individual parts instead
I believe that debris is the part that UnstableOrbit and HellFireKoder are working on just now. They seem to have it fairly under control
That's because it's a link to YouTube mate

This may be the most upvotes with no downloads that I've seen haha. Nice work!
@Toxicgirl alright, cool. I'm helping with another project just now, I'll get back to you as soon as I can
@Toxicgirl ahh right, cool. Can I see what you've got so far? Upload it unlisted and link me here or something
@Format Rohan made one here. Press 1 to drop the bomb, fire guns to detonate
Wait wait wait you should absolutely expand this to be a tournament for any kind of hat-shaped fighter
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries yeah man, that was exactly what I meant. I'd just like to see a few letter keys on it that we can assign to whatever we want, though. The mobile version has options for autopilot and the like, but no way (that I know of) to actually use them

@DragonCreations welcome back!
@JovianPat no worries, it was actually far less difficult than I expected it to be
If we could have a little pull down menu on the top of the screen that gives us a bunch of assignable keys, that would be really nice
@Toxicgirl is that missing a number? I can't find anything about a Hawker P.108. If I'm wrong, link me, because I always like Hawker stuff
@Ambarveis can you take a screenshot? Make sure you include your weapon selection menu and the target in range
@Rohan can't just now, but I'll be on in a few hours
@max12 bloody hell I was not expecting to come back to so many votes hahaha. Thank you very much. Feel free to ask if you need help with anything, I try to keep an eye on the forums. I'll check your plane out when I'm next on the game

@TheRealTDawg @Misha1004 @CDUflappy @Noman0rumeral @Supercraft888 @AgDynamics @gorz92 @Clawsome @Rohan @Nightraider @thealban @SpiritusRaptor @max12 thanks for all the votes everyone
@Wolf09 well my main distraction just now is modding, but I'll try to get a plane or two up as well. I've got some fun ideas for planes that I don't think anyone has managed to make before. @Wolf09 thank you very much. I've got a couple of things in the works just now, but I'm not much good at finishing projects on this game haha
@Theflyingauzzie like this:
So you get a link to google by doing this:
Also thanks for the shoutout @Theflyingauzzie
@Jetspeed1001 here's the one for the smoke mod by me and Mod
First generation jetfighters could be interesting. Replicas from before 1960, only up to two unmodded J50s for power and no guided missiles
@AceMcCloud it's happening. I'm gonna fly the F-14 myself, though, because the AI can't work the swing wings
I gotchu
@Spikerya heh, alright. I've got a couple of others things to do just now but I'll get it up sometime soon
Races for me, even if that just means one person flying a route and the other trying not to lose them. Formations and dogfights would be pretty sweet too, though
Not bad! Pitching is a bit funny, but otherwise it flies nicely
This looks fantastic, nice work
@LeoBrasi BAe isn't just your significant other, it's also British Aerospace, one of the world's biggest military aviation companies hahaha
@Spikerya sure, any preference for what it goes up against?
A lot of this stuff would be cool, but:
We already have that?
