@Halfstrike I would like to pretend I can understand that, but I'll have to wait and see the results you get hahahaha
Also regarding formatting, put the backticks in each line above and below the block of code to do a quote block that looks like this:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, detraxit perpetua ius eu.
Cu mea quem suas. Nam id omnis omittam ullamcorper.
Pri simul aperiri insolens no, no alii eripuit similique eum.
Omnes nominati voluptatum sed et. Sea te sonet diceret.
So for some reason, a wing fell off altogether during normal level flight... and much to my surprise, it was still fairly flyable. The lights look good, although with the smoke I would recommend sticking to one colour at a time to reduce z-fighting issues (I never worked out how to stop those happening :/ )
@Sirstupid I actually asked one of the devs about this during the beta, and the reason is that the AI pilots don't actually know how well the plane they're flying handles. They learn a bit with time, but otherwise just assume they can pull off nearly any manoeuvre
@DeezDucks sorry dude, I don't want to let it loose until I've at least done the textures and sorted a few other major issues with it. It doesn't actually have proper coasts at the moment, it just stops in mid air suddenly haha
@TehDuck it was an experiment by me that I will turn in to a proper map eventually
@RedHawk the SP mod tools actually make it pretty convenient to get stuff on both PC and Android (in my very limited experience), so I imagine Android versions of most mods will show up
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries I'm afraid not, because the only ones I have on are the ones I've been making. It might be worth checking out /r/spmod, though
@SteadfastContracting no, don't worry, much easier than that. First thing to do is find your AircraftDesigns folder, where all of your saved builds are kept. It should be C:\Users[you]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\AircraftDesigns. LocalLow is a hidden folder, so you might need to enable hidden items if you don't see it. Once you've found that, open the .xml file for the plane you want to edit in the text editor of your choice
@FennVectorCWA hang on, I don't understand what you're trying to do. The mod should just add a couple of new parts that create smoke trails. What's happening for you?
Definitely flies more smoothly, and the wings look great under pitching with just the all-moving central section. Still suffers from some of the problems the old one had with having no leverage for pitch, but a cool build overall
@swat132 @dsr1aviation @HakkeAirTech I had an idea! The Caproni Ca.60. It's as huge and ridiculous as they come, but doesn't require fussing about with rotators and things, and definitely has a certain grandeur to it. If you've watched The Wind Rises, you've seen it
The reason it doesn't turn very well is that your control surface (the whole wing, in this case) is really close to the CoM, so it has no leverage. It might be worth considering canards for another version
@Halfstrike definitely one of the best-looking fighters, in my opinion. Still, technology marches on. Unfortunately the Viggen had to do more than look good
Xml edit the minimum rotation of the rotator to either zero or a negative value. If it's zero, it won't do anything when you VTOL down. If it's negative, it will go the same direction no matter which way you move the slider
Saab J35 MOD Level 4, maybe? It was a proposed upgrade to the Draken that got shelved in favour of the Viggen. It had retractable canards and a wider wingspan, amongst a few other features.
@BaconEggs enabling a mod via .xml isn't something I've ever heard of, what does that involve? And when you say it shows up in the mods folder, do you mean com.Jundroo.SimplePlanes\files\mods, or do you mean the menu you get to by pressing "mods" on the in-game main menu?
@NovaTopaz I hope it was worth the wait
@iiRazor a couple of other people had this issue. Change the file name to Air Pollution.spmod-android and it should work
@Halfstrike I would like to pretend I can understand that, but I'll have to wait and see the results you get hahahaha

@Halfstrike really? That's impressive dude
@NovaTopaz my build is finally working! Expect a submission today
So for some reason, a wing fell off altogether during normal level flight... and much to my surprise, it was still fairly flyable. Yeah mate the reason I hadn't responded is that I was asleep. I'll check it out when I'm on the game, don't worry
@Csisguy I hope not, if there's one thing I never want my planes to do, it's to discourage other people from building
@Madlycat really?
@iiRazor when you downloaded the file, what was it called?
@DeezDucks sorry dude, I don't want to let it loose until I've at least done the textures and sorted a few other major issues with it. It doesn't actually have proper coasts at the moment, it just stops in mid air suddenly haha
@TehDuck it was an experiment by me that I will turn in to a proper map eventually
@Rohan if you want to make mods then yes!
Same as clickable links, but with an exclamation mark in front, so
@Meawk Ha Long Bay would be really cool
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries at the top of File Explorer, next to File, Home, and Share
@Skua I think the general idea here might be that spaces are bad
@dsr1aviation nicely done! I wouldn't have figured that one out
@amazingperson124 huh, you're right, actually
@amazingperson124 ignoring textures is exactly what I had done when I made that test version hahahaha
@amazingperson124 particular emphasis on the "in progress" bit. It will be a while before this one sees the light of day, I'm afraid
@AeroEngineering (ಥ_ಥ)
@AeroEngineering no worries man, I'm just glad that the first time I see it in the wild is a legitimate post and not some spamming haha
@BaconEggs really? That's... very strange. I think that's an issue with your game, because that menu should show up even when you have no mods at all
Worked fine when I uploaded it, I think I did everything right...
@SteadfastContracting any text editor works. You could use Notepad if you like, but Notepad++ is free and a lot better.
@FennVectorCWA damn, I've been caught!
@SteadfastContracting yeah, sure. Have you done any xml editing before?
@FennVectorCWA hang on, I don't understand what you're trying to do. The mod should just add a couple of new parts that create smoke trails. What's happening for you?
@SteadfastContracting I can do that for you, or show you how, if you like
@Mod get in here mate
Definitely flies more smoothly, and the wings look great under pitching with just the all-moving central section. Still suffers from some of the problems the old one had with having no leverage for pitch, but a cool build overall

@Halfstrike it's difficult, but not impossible. This guy got it pretty close
@SteadfastContracting sure, go for it
The reason it doesn't turn very well is that your control surface (the whole wing, in this case) is really close to the CoM, so it has no leverage. It might be worth considering canards for another version
@BaconEggs added to the description. Are you doing everything there?
@Halfstrike why is it impossible?
@Flightsonic in that case yes hahaha. It has been a while since I've touched that, sorry
@BaconEggs since a lot of people are having trouble with this, I'm just going to make a video
@Halfstrike definitely one of the best-looking fighters, in my opinion. Still, technology marches on. Unfortunately the Viggen had to do more than look good

@BaconEggs right, so when you try to enable it, what happens?
@Halfstrike I don't see anything in the mod tools for accessing that, sadly. You can get throttle, but not thrust.
@BaconEggs I need some more details than that. What software are you on? What happens?
