@LeoBrasi you should try doing a few stunts and challenges - things like the dive under the aircraft carrier that you mentioned. I managed to land a plane inside the volcano without VTOL yesterday, that can be another one for you to try
@LeoBrasi I'm helping a couple of other people just now, but I can check yours out afterwards if you want? Remind me tomorrow and I should have a little more time
@Halfstrike wing loading is your plane's weight divided by the area of its wings. It tells you how much weight each unit of area of wing has to lift, basically. This is important because when you turn, the g-force on your aircraft increases the amount of force the wings have to support. If your wing loading is already high, and you do a high-G turn, your wings can't support it and you won't turn much.
Basically big wings + low weight makes turning easier.
@Halfstrike you should enter it anyway! It doesn't matter if you don't win. As for how this is so manoeuvrable: super low wing loading (you could get away with a wing loading about five times higher than this and still have excellent performance), and it's actually not that small. Most of the other entries seem to have assumed that only ten parts means their plane has to be tiny, and as a result their control surfaces have no leverage to work with.
It's just an automatic thing that applies to everyone on the site, it isn't targeting you specifically. Jundroo is only a small company, and there's only a couple of mods on the site, so they have stuff like this in place to help out
@LeoBrasi IT'LL BE A WHILE because I'm making this. The island in the bottom right is the original stock one. Don't say anything about this yet, though!
@LeoBrasi I would quite like to do the P.125, which the JAST concept was based on, but I haven't really figured out how yet. Also other projects like map mods take up way too much time
@LeoBrasi judging by the appearance of Sidious, I reckon he's actually still human and just horribly corrupted by his usage of the force. Maybe it's Plagueis?
@LeoBrasi Legend? You're kind but I would not go that far hahaha. I think this was the fourth plane I built on the game, I still occasionally get the updated version out for post-stall nonsense
I really liked it, it captured the feeling of a proper Star Wars film. Favourite moment was probably the TIE fighters against the sun and the X-wings flying low over the lake on Takodana, those shots just looked too good
Don't worry dude, it's just a case of practice and understanding, like everything else.
"Planes that can't get off the ground."
If you've got taildragger landing gear, make the front gear longer and/or lower than the rear one. If you've got tricycle gear, move the rear gears to be only slightly behind the CoM.
"Planes that roll too fast."
Smaller roll control surfaces.
"Planes who's nose bounces up and down in flight reguardless of the buttons I press."
This one could be a couple of things, but the most likely ones are that your wing loading is too high or your pitch control surfaces are too big.
"sometimes they nose up so badly"
This usually means that either your CoT is too low, or you need to change the wing profile of your rear stabilisers to produce some lift. Making them semi-symmetric or flat-bottom will do this.
Keyboard controls
Yeah... keyboard controls are clumsy. Try the new mouse joystick option, though, it makes for much smoother flying once you get the hang of it. Right click to turn it on or off.
It's alright to be bad at flying stuff - I still can't win the bombing challenge, no matter what sort of plane I use. The best thing for it is, as is often the case, to start with slower and steadier planes until you get more familiar with it. The stock P-51, for example, rolls almost irritatingly fast, so it's quite fine to find that one a little tricky. Fortunately, this is a building game, so making the control surfaces smaller is an option we have!
I hope I explained that stuff alright, feel free to ask questions.
@GINGER01 nice! Yeah it's alright, all this helps me as well, because now I know what to watch for next time I upload an android one, so thanks for being patient yourself. I'm glad it's all working now
@GINGER01 it should be exactly the same as that, so I really don't know what's causing the problem :/ the only other suggestion I've got is to try either using another browser, or renaming the file to Air Pollution.spmod-android anyway and see if it works. Apparently this is a common issue with the Chrome android browser, is that what you're using?
@GINGER01 okay it sounds like Office is the problem here. Have you got another file explorer on your device? If not, this one is free, and shouldn't have the same issue.
@GINGER01 okay, try this alternate download. If you get something like Air%20Pollution.spmod-android, that's fine, just rename it to Air Pollution.spmod-android and you should be good to go. If you get a .bin again, try updating your device software, that's what fixed it for dsr1aviation up above

@LeoBrasi heh, you guys seemed to be having a laugh. My poor planes hahahaha. Definitely get that mic sorted, though!
@LeoBrasi I'm helping a couple of other people just now, but I can check yours out afterwards if you want? Remind me tomorrow and I should have a little more time
@Pauciloquent ahahahaha I had that issue too, I wanted to use structural wings with control surfaces to fix it, but the rules are the rules
This thing has a solid chance of winning, nice work
@TheHappyHellcat what physics setting are you flying on? I got that problem at around 730mph, which is why the prop has been downsized a bit

This is hilarious, and actually also one of the best-flying entries yet hahaha
@skubadogg it's alright dude, patience is a virtue and all that
@Geekpride I hope you're gonna try anyway, I saw that you did pretty well in the previous contest
@LeoBrasi IT'LL BE A WHILE because I'm making this. The island in the bottom right is the original stock one. Don't say anything about this yet, though!
@LeoBrasi hahahaha that is ridiculous. I guess it might have been to make sure he stays about for the next two as well, though?
@LeoBrasi I would quite like to do the P.125, which the JAST concept was based on, but I haven't really figured out how yet. Also other projects like map mods take up way too much time
@LeoBrasi so I should keep building slightly obscure BAe concepts and prototypes? Hahahaha
@LeoBrasi man I wish I could have seen Mark Hamill's reaction to the script
@LeoBrasi judging by the appearance of Sidious, I reckon he's actually still human and just horribly corrupted by his usage of the force. Maybe it's Plagueis?

@Delphinus @Cedy117 @Kimo @MediocrePlanes thanks guys!
@zap210 heh, well I figured that the more simple I make it, the more guns I can get on while staying under the part limit hahaha
@LeoBrasi I wish we had gotten more of him, although I think he was best when he was being bros with Finn haha
I really liked it, it captured the feeling of a proper Star Wars film. Favourite moment was probably the TIE fighters against the sun and the X-wings flying low over the lake on Takodana, those shots just looked too good
@Pauciloquent well I just tried the first two on your page and they were both excellent, so it's only fair that they get some votes haha
@aseder @grizzlitn thanks guys. You should both enter as well!
@Pauciloquent I'll be looking forward to your entry. I just checked out your planes, I can't believe I haven't seen them before, they're really cool!
Link to the challenge

You do, but you can just make an email address specifically for it with no personal information and use that.
@Flightsonic good plan, it's the easiest and the tutorial is still up to date.
Have you looked at the modding wiki on reddit yet? And what sort of mods are you interested in making?
Happy new year to you too!
@TOPDOG7 THE LINK WILL WORK you just need to use the one for the image, instead of the page:
Super quick 3-view sketch with stuff like nacelles for the landing gear added:
Gotta buy both, I'm afraid
@Flightsonic yes
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries it's in the zip along with an image
@GINGER01 nice! Yeah it's alright, all this helps me as well, because now I know what to watch for next time I upload an android one, so thanks for being patient yourself. I'm glad it's all working now
Fairchild FX. It was a rival concept to the F-15
Oh hang on, @Mod had this happen during the beta. I dunno if a solution was ever found
@GINGER01 yeah man, I mean change that too. Delete the whole name, including the extension, and replace it with Air Pollution.spmod-android
@GINGER01 try renaming it to the right name, then, it's worth a shot

@GINGER01 okay it sounds like Office is the problem here. Have you got another file explorer on your device? If not, this one is free, and shouldn't have the same issue.
@GINGER01 wait what? Office shouldn't be involved in this at any point, what are you using it for?
@Dipper use this format:
So in this case:
Also I can help with Android builds if you want

@Cedy117 sweet, getting hyped :D
@Cedy117 done. It looks fantastic, will we get to try it soon?
Oh also those will work in the body of a forum post if you wanna stick them there
