  • XR-45 Cariburn 9.4 years ago

    @AJosh92FS don't worry, you're not the only one to have that issue haha. In this case it was deliberate to reflect the unstable nature of the Cariburn in the games, but if you want to make it easier to fly, stick a little bit of dead weight in the nose.

  • Skua's Nightmare MK3 9.4 years ago

    @Hadesrocks I don't think I've ever actually mentioned my gender on here, so I appreciate the inclusiveness.

    Also imma carpet bomb the hell out of this aberrance

  • The Shark Tooth Tournament stream running right now! 9.4 years ago

    @Stampede ohh okay. It was your Zero that I knew before. Also your V-269 looks awesome, so I'm gonna be trying that later

  • A sliiiight low-point 9.4 years ago

    You seem to have a knack for jetfighters, so I say try the Vought V-507 Vagabond. It was a rival proposal to the F-14

  • how can i mod on steam version 9.4 years ago

    @Aerobako courtesy of RocketLL:

    "Go to folder"(Shift+⌘+G) and /Users/YourNameGoesHere/Library/Application Support/unity.Jundroo.SimplePlanes

    @Stampede I'm confused, what about planes?

  • Saab JAS 39 Gripen in development 9.4 years ago

    @BRuthless sorry, that's what I meant, I worded it badly.

  • Saab JAS 39 Gripen in development 9.4 years ago

    @BRuthless looking great! I agree with the plan to round the corners of the intakes off a bit, it would be nice if they blended in to the body more neatly

  • BAe/McDonnell Douglas JAST 9.4 years ago

    @Wakescar oh my, no pressure then hahaha. Thanks for the vote though!

  • Racer Variant - The Destroyer of Distant Worlds 9.4 years ago

    @Tully2001 thievery! Heh, cool design dude. It's kinda like an older A-10. I'd recommend bring the CoM back a little and reducing the pitch surfaces a bit, but otherwise you've done a good job here

  • Magical Cyclocopter 9.4 years ago

    This is absolutely awesome, nice one!

  • Copies... 9.4 years ago

    @XVIindustries but that's exactly the same as the current system, only the original gets more free points

  • Multiplayer? 9.4 years ago

    @ShatterFox give it a rest

  • AeroEngineering 172B 9.4 years ago

    @Kimo I can't take any credit for the outstanding interior, that was all AeroEngineering and ronyseptian. I just helped get it to fly a little more nicely

  • Rotational rocket 9.4 years ago

    @Pauciloquent thank you

  • Extension of part size 9.4 years ago

    @Gein44 cool, nice one

  • Extension of part size 9.4 years ago

    @Gein44 honestly I have no idea. What are the folders that you do have in AppData? And is \Jundroo in any of those?

  • Auto roll fix? (issue) 9.4 years ago

    @Bando89 Well I have no idea why it worked, but I'm glad it did hahahaha

  • Copies... 9.4 years ago

    @XVIindustries there's a slight issue with that solution in inactive users. It would make it completely impossible to upload, say, a Hypnotoad successor. Maybe a 48 hour grace period for the original creator to prevent it going public would suffice.

    Honestly though I cannot agree with the position that the successor system is the problem. Even if someone fails to give any credit whatsoever, and changes literally nothing, there's still a link to the original design, and everyone can see who actually did the work. If the successor system is made more limiting, we would see an increase in non-successor copies, which are far more akin to stealing in my book.

  • XML users please help 9.4 years ago

    I had a guide written up that has gotten all ruined by the comment order being changed... I'll fix it and link you

  • Auto roll fix? (issue) 9.4 years ago

    It's a bug, but mirroring from the opposite side from usual often fixes it

  • MEDIA PROPAGANDA 9.4 years ago

    Using the whole "generations" thing as if it's some kind of hard rule is nonsense anyway. Different planes will be good at different things. The Eurofighter Typhoon is referred to as another "4+" generation aircraft, because it's not stealthy in the slightest, and is generally much simpler than the Raptor. Does this make it a lesser plane? No, it's a different plane. The Raptor is built for BVR combat and stealth, the Typhoon for WVR combat and agility. Each aircraft beats the other in their preferred roles.

    I think we can all agree that the T-50 is looking to be an impressive bit of technology, but that shouldn't have to be seen as it being better or worse than the Raptor, Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen, J-20 etc. I just hope we never need to actually find out for real.

  • AeroEngineering 172B 9.4 years ago

    Nobody need worry about checking my planes out, I'm sure I'll get quite enough successor points from this anyway. It's cool that it has been almost a sort of collective build between so many people, and I'm delighted to see it turn out so well

  • Extension of part size 9.4 years ago

    @dsr1aviation the path is:

    C:\Users\[you]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\AircraftDesigns

    Note that AppData is a hidden folder normally, so look those up if you can't find it

  • Lockheed CL-1200 Lancer 9.4 years ago

    @DestinyAviation whenever Rohan finishes it... the only one left to do is the Boeing entry

  • So crazy it just might work! 9.4 years ago

    @OtterOfToast I don't even know what I would get made, though - almost all my favourite planes that I've built are replicas haha

  • So crazy it just might work! 9.4 years ago

    @OtterOfToast it's the same for any CAM shop, so if the Jundroo team got that 3D printed, then they have a way to export to a suitable file type (likely .stl). However, Jundroo have the significant advantages of a) having access to their meshes, and b) understanding how their game works haha

  • AMA! :P 9.4 years ago

    @DeezDucks psst that's an alliteration mate, not a rhyme

    Duck is absolutely delicious, though. Cooked rare with a peppered coating and seared outside is just heavenly

  • AMA! :P 9.4 years ago

    What's your favourite duck? And your favourite plane named after a duck?

  • Aeroprogress T-720 9.4 years ago

    @LiquidFox how on earth did you wind up finding this old thing? Haha, thanks for the vote though!

  • Future update ideas! 9.4 years ago

    @Godsgift2halo I just did some for another user, they functioned, but not very well. Shaved maybe 10mph off of a 130mph stall speed. The game doesn't consider them to be part of the wing, so they need to be very close to the CoM to work.

  • So crazy it just might work! 9.4 years ago

    @OtterOfToast actually the person I was trying 123D Catch with was a mod haha. The devs are actually working on this exact feature, you can see an example in the comments of this thread

  • Where can I get a Modded world? 9.4 years ago

    @SalemASaberhagen I'm working on one myself that I'll hopefully make available for Android, but it has a lot of work left to do

  • Future update ideas! 9.4 years ago

    @NovaTopaz yeah, I just wanted to give a non-xml solution. Same reason I didn't suggest structural wings on rotators to act as flaps haha

  • Future update ideas! 9.4 years ago

    @amazingperson124 that's true, I did actually forget that

  • Aviown-116/JM "BRUCE" 9.4 years ago

    @AviownCorp I did, it worked remarkably well. The large v-stabs do a great job

  • Aviown-116/JM "BRUCE" 9.4 years ago

    Great balance of control and agility. I like the engine design, too

  • Future update ideas! 9.4 years ago

    While these would all be nice features to have, two of them are actually already available. You can make dedicated fuel tanks with fuselage section attached to pylons. They'll still provide your engines with fuel, but can be dropped with an action group when they're empty. For you want non-vectoring nozzles for the VTOL engine, give the regular nozzles an action group, so they'll be disabled when that group is off.

  • Where can I get a Modded world? 9.4 years ago

    Like a new map? There aren't many available just now, but the ones I can think of off the top of my head are UnstableOrbit's Soggy Isles and FullFruntall's Krazy Wurld. However, there are none available for Android that I know of.

  • Does anyone want to know what ive been hiding about myself? 9.4 years ago

    @Allstar there are first-world countries that aren't the USA. That said, Vinneplanes is definitely American, judging by his accent

  • So crazy it just might work! 9.4 years ago

    @Flightsonic not easily. The files for the meshes are pretty well hidden away, and even if you got them out, you would have to get some sort of script to position them properly based on the xml. There's no button for "export to .stl" or anything like that

  • Modding? 9.4 years ago

    @dsr1aviation for this sort of stuff, it sounds like xml editor the way to go. Far less trouble hahaha

  • I'm Quitting SimplePlanes 9.4 years ago

    @CarlosDanger13 right, so when you said "no one sees it", what was that about? It took me 7 months to get gold.

  • I'm Quitting SimplePlanes 9.4 years ago

    @CarlosDanger13

    "your platinum everyone caters to you"

    He didn't start at platinum

  • I'm Quitting SimplePlanes 9.4 years ago

    @CarlosDanger13 the important difference here is that Ducks isn't promoting his own work. He is supporting another user, not advertising his own content in the hope of attention. He also doesn't tag nearly so many people, nor does he do it nearly so often. It's used for exceptional situations.

  • So crazy it just might work! 9.4 years ago

    @OtterOfToast as a warning: we can't get it working well

  • XF-119G MK2 9.4 years ago

    @MediocrePlanes I'll come online

  • So crazy it just might work! 9.4 years ago

    It's funny you should ask, TheLatentImage and I are experimenting with 123D Catch just now to see if it works. It's free, so give it a shot and see if it can help

  • I am Rohan, I have been on SP for over a year. AMA! 9.4 years ago

    SINCE YOU DODGED THE QUESTION LAST TIME

    ...would you rather fight a hundred duck-sized horses, or one horse-sized duck?

  • The Shark Tooth Tournament stream running right now! 9.4 years ago

    @CarlosDanger13 I can't check them out just now, because I'm trying to get a collaborative project done on time. I'll have a look afterwards. This is what I was meaning, though - tagging users that don't follow you in your builds is pretty unfair. If everyone was to do the same, any gold users would get literally thousands of notifications every day
