Please don't name planes after YouTubers, this is considered spam and is against the rules. This plane will be removed, but it can go back up if you change the name and reply to me.
@Thelaw11 heh, awesome. I know what you mean about getting frustrated with big projects, it takes me so long to get them done and I lose interest halfway through, even though I've done all the hard parts haha
@Thelaw11 yeah, basically. That was my approach here, anyway. Once you've done that, the handling will suck, but you can improve it with things like doubling up the wings and using surfaces with a lot of leverage
@Thelaw11 ahh yeah, that's the same reason I had to make mine really stable. Make sure the CoL is waaaay further back than you think it should be, same for the V-stab
@SPS13 it's fine if you don't like a plane, but there's no need to insult the person making it. There's even a whole section of the rules about being nice. Anyway, there are changes here, just not particularly visible ones at first glance.
@Thelaw11 thanks man. I try to be efficient with parts where I can, although in this case it was also partly because I was getting fed up with a more complex project and just wanted to finish something quickly haha
@Thelaw11 yeah, the physics seems to get really weird at small scales. It didn't help that I couldn't use the CoM/CoL tool for it either... I had to make it way more stable than I expected or wanted to. The doubled-up wings weren't original on it, I just had to do that to improve the handling somehow
@Thelaw11 eh it handles better, but that's not too important. I'm glad to see someone else doing something similar. If you want the original and less fragile version, it's here, by the way. Thank you for the vote!
Couple of things that might help you, though. Firstly, it's not the mods that do this stuff, although the naming can get a bit confusing. What you needed was an xml edit, and a lot of people here refer to those as "mods". Personally I don't like calling them mods, because that gets confused with actual mods (short for modifications), which add more content to the game. Just to make it even more confusing, "the mods" are the moderators, a small group of us that makes sure the rules of the site are being followed.
While I'm here, design tips: I assume this is for the land speed record mission. Inlets don't actually work if something is blocking them. Check the drag view when building; if the intake isn't bright red, it isn't getting any air. Reducing drag is pretty important for this mission anyway. If you make something slippery enough, you can complete the challenge with very little power indeed.
@BaconAircrafts awesome! Colani has done quite a few different ones, but they all follow that same idea of being enormous whale-like things with very graceful and natural lines
@MasterPlaneCrafter193 I'm sorry about this, but the terms and conditions of this site require account holders to be at least 13 years old. This is due to the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. As such, I need to deactivate your account.
@KingDeadshot only off-topic planes are off the rules, forum posts are all good. Political posts are kinda dodgy, because they can very rapidly descend in to fights, but there's nothing wrong with this one
@AviownCorp this is your best starting point. The tutorials are outdated and don't always work, but it's still the best resource available. Make sure to use Unity 5.1.4, not a more recent version
I'm not sure why your response to being told not to copy was to upload two more copies, but since you're going out of your way to cause trouble, you're getting a temp ban. Come back next week and try to be a better member of the community if you want.
@Trevon no, I'm a moderator. The developers have asked me (and a few other people) to keep watch over the community and the website, and make sure that the rules are followed.
@AviownCorp nudge is a feature that lets you move parts by very small amounts, while also ignoring the normal rules for attachments. You can use it to clips parts through each other, or have them floating completely free if you like, while still acting as if they're attached normally. The default PC controls are shift+WASD
@dilisvarskvlavi I'm so happy that there's finally a good replica on the site - I dislike the plane, but so many people ask me to make it.
As for nudge controls, nudge is usually shift+WASD, while WASD by itself controls rotation. You can always change it to a different set of keys, though. I have mine bound to the numpad.
@AviownCorp if you attach a Bluetooth keyboard, you can go to the controls settings and assign nudge controls to some of the buttons of the keyboard. I believe some people have done this using the volume buttons on headphones too
@jamesPLANESii the NZ one is a little tricky, but I'll see if I can get it done. I've got some other things to do first, though, so you'll need to wait a few days.
Heh, I guess I can submit something I made a long time ago as well - the plane with no roll controls. Air starts only, it was only a quick experiment and never got much development.
@Darjeeling101 you've stolen this exact plane before, and been told not to do so again. Since you ignored me, you're getting a 5 day ban. Any further offences will lead to a permanent ban.

@Johawks1976 we'll be having none of that. Any more similar behaviour and you'll be getting a ban. Learn to play nice, or leave.

@Dosbrostacos thanks!

@Thelaw11 what's confusing you?
@SkyborneFox @jsaret I'm on it

Imma dogfight it against the one I made like this

Here you go
You've been told to stop doing things like this, and you've ignored it. Come back next week to try again, if you want.
@BaconAircrafts awesome! Colani has done quite a few different ones, but they all follow that same idea of being enormous whale-like things with very graceful and natural lines
You seem to have a talent for organic-looking airliners, so if you're feeling wildly ambitious, maybe a Luigi Colani concept?
@Brields95 @MEGANOOB I don't care if you don't like the design, there's no need to be insulting about it.
@LOOMYNARTY
Please don't just upload the stock planes, everybody already has those. I've removed the four you posted.
@MasterPlaneCrafter193 I'm sorry about this, but the terms and conditions of this site require account holders to be at least 13 years old. This is due to the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. As such, I need to deactivate your account.
@Sniper16 I'm confused by your upvote but thank you anyway
@Sniper16 @Sniper16 @Sniper16 WHAT IS RICK DAY
@kaster11 @Le2xD thanks for the votes!
@KingDeadshot only off-topic planes are off the rules, forum posts are all good. Political posts are kinda dodgy, because they can very rapidly descend in to fights, but there's nothing wrong with this one
@MasterPlaneCrafter193 no worries, and thank you! I have something in progress with Nickasaurus, hopefully it won't take us too much longer
@MasterPlaneCrafter193 a large amount of work has been done to edit this, there's no issue here
@dilisvarskvlavi nah you keep them, it's fine.
@AviownCorp this is your best starting point. The tutorials are outdated and don't always work, but it's still the best resource available. Make sure to use Unity 5.1.4, not a more recent version
@AviownCorp are we talking xml edits or actual mods here?

@AviownCorp not for nudge
@Trevon well then stop breaking the rules. It's not hard.
@Trevon no, I'm a moderator. The developers have asked me (and a few other people) to keep watch over the community and the website, and make sure that the rules are followed.
Well this is getting removed. Any further copying will lead to a ban.
@Trevon that's a problem, not an excuse. You'll note that the people building the stuff that gets copied aren't doing any copying themselves.

Link
To make that link, I wrote this:
@AviownCorp if you attach a Bluetooth keyboard, you can go to the controls settings and assign nudge controls to some of the buttons of the keyboard. I believe some people have done this using the volume buttons on headphones too
@Jasperjl you can pull them off of the wing nacelles on my Cariburn
@jamesPLANESii the NZ one is a little tricky, but I'll see if I can get it done. I've got some other things to do first, though, so you'll need to wait a few days.

@jamesPLANESii like roundels?
@SimpleKingdom here
@Manboy2 uhh, dude, that's nearly a thousand times heavier than the request
@Darjeeling101 you've stolen this exact plane before, and been told not to do so again. Since you ignored me, you're getting a 5 day ban. Any further offences will lead to a permanent ban.
@thebosse22 you have uploaded several planes that offer very minimal changes to the originals. Please stop doing that.
@Rocketboss no matter the intention, you still reposted another user's plane. The original has over two and a half thousand downloads anyway.
